Kandi Burruss is looking forward to watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta's new cast.
'I'm excited,' the 48-year-old star shared with E! News on the 90th Annual Drama League Awards red carpet on Friday.
It comes after she announced her exit from the popular Bravo series following 14 years on the show. A new combination of women will appear on the upcoming season.
'I'm excited for Shamea [Morton Mwangi], who is our friend. I'm glad it's announced so I don't have to keep secrets anymore,' Kandi said.
She emphasized, 'I'm gonna be watching because my friends are still on the show.'
Shamea has signed on as a full-time cast member and Porsha Williams is set to return following a two season hiatus.
Kandie revealed, 'I already knew she was going back before she announced it.
'We both had talked about our decisions, what we were thinking about doing. I was telling her I didn't know if I was going to go back.'
She added, 'She was telling me how she was thinking she might go back. So we knew. I am excited for her.'
In addition to Shamea and Porsha, fans will be tuning in to watch newcomers Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley.
Kenya Moore and Drew Sidora will also make a return to the franchise.
Meanwhile, Marlo Hampton, Sanya Richards-Ross, and Shereé Whitfield have not renewed their contracts.
'I'm not necessarily gonna miss that stress,' Burruss admitted to E!.
The singer-songwriter dished, 'They started filming this week. I was talking to one of them — I can't say who it was — but she was like, "Girl, it's just a lot."
'I was like, yeah, I don't know if I missed that part. I forgot about that first stress of getting the ball rolling when you're meeting new people.'
However, Kandi said there is something she does miss about being part of the production.
'You don't necessarily miss the stress or the work, but you miss the camaraderie part. And knowing that you are part of something great. Because at the end of the day, no matter how much drama [there] was, my 14 seasons on that franchise... a lot of great things came from it.'
