Julia Lemigova faces backlash for throwing a drink at Guerdy Abraira on Real Housewives of Miami, as Adriana de Moura calls out Julia’s “disturbing” behavior, and Guerdy speaks out.
On the latest episode, Guerdy and Julia argued over what transpired on a recent cruise. Apparently, Julia invited Guerdy because Julia’s wife, Martina Navratilova, couldn’t attend. According to Guerdy, when asked why Martina couldn’t do it, Julia answered that she’d explain it all later. At this point in the episode, Julia called her a psychopath, and Guerdy told her to be quiet. Julia then threw a drink at her and accused her of lying.
After the episode aired, fans expressed their disapproval of Julia.
“There is NO JUSTIFICATION for Julia to have poured her drink onto Guerdy,” wrote fan account @Dustin_Cone on X. “Absolutely NO REASON!”
“I know it’s still early but I feel a distinct shift in Julia’s energy this season and don’t feel it’s solely due to expanding her family,” wrote another.
“I’m so disgusted by julia’s aggression to guerdy,” said a different user.
Amid the backlash, Adriana wrote her own message of support to Guerdy.
“I was very saddened by the way @guerdydesign was treated by Julia at Marysol’s wedding party. As someone who lost a brother to cancer, I have deep respect and admiration for her strength and courage. It’s very disturbing to see someone who is still dealing with the aftermath of a life threatening disease, be treated with such disdain,” she said on Instagram under a photo of her with Guerdy. “We must cherish and celebrate those who win the horrible battle against cancer because their resilience and courage inspire hope, remind us of the fragility of life, and highlight the power of community and support in overcoming seemingly insurmountable challenges.”
Guerdy herself then addressed the scene.
“Some people like the power of my presence without the presence of my power. I wasn’t built to shrink — I was born to shine and if my glow threatens anyone, maybe the issue isn’t my light—it’s their shade,” she wrote on her own Instagram. “If I wouldn’t ask my own child to shrink for anyone…then why should I? … Shrinking or retreating was never the mission nor the blueprint. I’ve won bigger battles to ever flinch.”
