Juan Soto subsequently crushed a two-run homer to give the Yankees an early 2-0 lead over the Guardians.
Soto hit the pitch — from Guardians starter Gavin Williams — 414 feet to center field.
He took a second to watch his blast and flipped his bat emphatically.
It had an exit velocity of 113.3 miles per hour off the bat.
