Jokes Are Pouring in After Detroit Lions LB Denies Viral Pants Stain Accusation

Detroit Lions linebacker James Houston IV became the center of attention after a video showing a dark stain on the back of his white uniform pants went viral during "Sunday Night Football."

The clip, captured during the Lions' game against the Houston Texans, led many to speculate that Houston had an unfortunate accident on the field.

In response to the growing accusations about his pants stain, Houston took to social media to clear things up.

“Ay yall I had sat on some Gatorade just chill,” Houston posted, along with laughing and poop emojis.

Despite his explanation, the internet couldn't help but have some fun with the situation. Sure enough, jokes about the incident quickly flooded social media.

Another joked, “We don’t even care. You can do it every game. Just keep putting those QBs down.”

A user humorously suggested, “My man drinking some chocolate Gatorade! We love you brah... just gotta have some fun. Great game!”

Meanwhile, fans were quick to show support, with one commenter saying, “Lol, I believe you. Good game, man!”

Another added, “Don’t matter. You earned the right to shit your pants tonight. JAMES HOUSTON IS BACK!”

One fan even joked, “I’ve never seen brown Gatorade lol but that was the turning point. All the issues were flushed away and the comeback was on!”

Though the stain became the talk of the game, Houston's performance on the field was far more impressive. He helped the Lions stage a thrilling comeback, overcoming a 23-7 halftime deficit to defeat the Texans 26-23.

Despite a rough game with quarterback Jared Goff throwing five interceptions, the Texans failed to score in the second half, allowing Detroit to rally and secure the win with a last-second field goal from kicker Jake Bates.
