Joe Bradley's "Deepest Regret" from Below Deck Med Season 9 May Surprise You

Gael Cameron was not happy to hear Joe Bradley call her a "princess" on Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean, and though it took some time for the lead deckhand to apologize to her, he now views his use of the insult as one of his biggest blunders of the entire season.

How to Watch

Joe revealed as much during the Sept. 23 episode of Watch What Happens Live after host Andy Cohen asked him if he "regret[s]" calling Gael a "princess," especially since he never used the term to describe fellow deck crew members Iain Maclean and Nathan Gallagher.

"I've got loads of regret calling Gael a princess," Joe began. "Looking back now, I was too harsh. I didn't really think it was gonna be such a big deal, but deep down, there's a bigger message. And obviously she's come from a harsh background and a difficult upbringing, and the word 'princess' obviously affects her, and I didn't realize that."

"So, that is my deepest regret," Joe concluded.

It may be his deepest, but it's not his only one. The deckhand and his fellow WWHL guest, chef Johnathan Shillingford, went on to play a game of "Do You Regret It?" and Joe shared that he wasn't proud of how he handled learning that Elena "Ellie" Dubaich had overheard the impromptu song her performed about her and Bri Muller.

As for what Joe didn't regret, that includes: pursuing Carrie O'Neill; not going on a date with Ellie after he initially agreed; hooking up with Bri in the nightclub bathroom; and "stirring the pot" with Gael and Nathan after he insinuated that he'd be traveling with him once the season ended.

On a more positive note, Joe also revealed his "rose" of the Below Deck Med season: meeting Nathan. "Honestly, I consider him one of my best mates."
