The Valley's Santa Barbara wine tasting quickly soured when Michelle Saniei once again brought up Jesse Lally's finances, more specifically that he's "broke."
During the group outing in Season 2, Episode 5, Jesse pulled Michelle aside for a "serious, serious conversation" about her lack of support for his relationship. It didn't take long for the chat to devolve into name-calling, however, after she dubbed her estranged husband a "disaster," prompting him to fire back that she's a "hooker."
"You can't do that! I'm the mother of your f–king child," Michelle shouted at Jesse, with whom she shares custody of 5-year-old Isabella, adding, "You're a loser! You f–king spend all of our money. You are the one!"
That's when Jesse pulled out his cell phone and began responding, "Actually, speaking of spending money, let me pull up the, uh…" before she cut him off to say, "Then pull it up!"
However, before he had a chance to produce any receipts, Michelle announced to the group that "people deposit money" to Jesse, too, including their mutual friend and client, who had sent monetary gifts for Isabella’s birthday, as well as for their wedding. Adding that Jesse was "more than happy to take" the cash, she also threatened to fork over her own "proof."
In The Valley After Show video above, Michelle detailed Jesse's alleged spending habits, noting he is "is in a lot of financial trouble."
"The problem was, once I had a baby, I was working less, and he just stopped working," she said. "He got comfortable and he just thought, like, 'OK, I'm just gonna start spending, but not continue to make [money].'"
"We did have millions of dollars," she added, claiming Jesse spent "an enormous amount of money" on wine and other lavish items. "That money was gone."
During the May 13 episode, Brittany Cartwright stepped in to call out Jesse for doubling down on his prior claim in the boys' group chat that Michelle slept with a billionaire for $1,500 a night, telling him that he needed to apologize and "make it very clear" that he was lying.
"Of course it’s a lie," Jesse admitted. "Like, I'm a f–kin' asshole for even saying that."
In a confessional, he elaborated, "I don't believe this rumor. I regret ever sending it to the boys' chat. [I] certainly never even thought that it would circulate. And let's be clear, I never said it was true, so it is not slander."
Back at the rental house during the episode, Jesse and Michelle attempted another one-on-one that arguably went way worse than their first attempt.
Still failing to see eye-to-eye about Jesse's girlfriend — and whether it's appropriate for her to be around Isabella — the two also clashed over the relationship's timeline. Insisting that Michelle was a "liar and a cheater," he asked if she did or did not "admit" to infidelity in their marriage.
"Yes, I did admit [to] kissing somebody," Michelle answered.
As the conversation went further left, Jesse continued to press the issue of Michelle cheating, before she eventually threw water in his face and stormed out of his room.
Further retaliating, she aired more dirty laundry to their castmates, yelling, "Everybody, my husband refused to hug me and kiss me and tell me I'm pretty. My husband spent all of our money."
In a confessional, Michelle vowed that she was "done" with Jesse: "This was my final straw," she insisted. "I am so sick and tired of Jesse, and I am going to cut him from my life. Other than picking up Isabella, [and] dropping her off, I am not gonna talk to him."
Don't miss exactly how Michelle claimed Jesse blew through "millions of dollars" during their relationship.
