Jerry Jones Ridicules ‘Faint Little Sound’ of Fans Demanding He Pay Micah Parsons with CeeDee Lamb ComparisonsThere are times in an athlete’s life when it seems everything is setting them up for success. Garnering three All-Pro selections in his first four years in the league, playing a position that already has some outstanding talent should set Micah Parsons up for a bear hug from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Many felt he would get that hug sooner than Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb did when they were in line to get contract extensions. Both leading stars needed some time to pass before becoming the highest-paid player and the second highest in their respective positions.

Having Jones’ personal number should have made it much easier for Parsons to get an extension sooner than they did. Alas, that has not happened, and the star pass rusher and the owner are in the midst of a war of words.

First, it was the 82-year-old who made it clear that handing out a contract extension was the least of his worries. This brought out a seemingly sarcastic remark from the 26-year-old. Now, fans have joined in to demand that Jerry Jones pay Micah Parsons soon. However, it has not affected the Cowboys’ owner.

I heard it light, but not compared to how I heard them say, ‘Pay Lamb [last year].’ That was a faint little sound compared to the way they were hollering last year, ‘Pay Lamb.’ … Whoever’s not in, you can count on a few hollering that. But it was a big, loud chant last year on Lamb.

This was Jerry Jones‘ way of ridiculing his team’s fans who are trying to meddle with the situation. It seems the two parties are in a stalemate, as his son Stephen Jones described later on.
