Jennifer Aydin shared new details on a “reunion” she had with Margaret Josephs over the holidays.
The estranged “Real Housewives of New Jersey” co-stars came face to face during a shopping trip in late December. In a January 2025 video interview with Us Weekly, Aydin said Josephs was “sweet” when she approached her in public, despite their divide on the Bravo reality show.
Season 14 of RHONJ ended with the divided cast sitting in two separate rooms to discuss the finale, which featured a physical altercation between Aydin and co-star Danielle Cabral. Aydin and Josephs were on different “sides” and did not speak to one another during the finale wrap-up. As of this writing, RHONJ remains on “pause” amid the cast toxicity.
In addition to Aydin, Josephs, and Cabral, the 14th season of RHONJ starred Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jennifer Fessler.
Jennifer Aydin Refused to Ignore Margaret Josephs
While speaking with Us, Aydin explained why she went over to Josephs when she saw her shopping with her close friend/assistant Lexi Barbuto.
“I saw her at the Gucci outlet,” Aydin revealed. “We were ignoring each other at first. My kids were like, ‘Margaret’s here with Lexi.’ And I was there with my sister-in-law, Bill’s brother’s wife, and my four nieces and nephew and I was treating them to a shopping spree at Gucci. We had to get to the men’s department where Margaret and Lexi were in line. I had to pass them and I’m like, ‘This is ridiculous. I can’t say, ‘Hello?’ It’s New Year’s. So, I passed her, and I said ‘hello.’”
Aydin said she introduced Josephs to her sister-in-law, and they began chatting. “She was very sweet, and so was Lexi,” Aydin shared. “I believe in being cordial for the moment. …I was nice, and then she was saying something like, ‘I don’t think we have a job, by the way. I don’t think any of us have a job.’ And I was thinking, ‘You know what, it’s become so toxic that whatever it is, it is.’ I respect Bravo, and I respect that they know what they’re doing. They’ve been in this business for a long time…If they feel like we need to regroup, more power to you.”
Aydin explained that she only joined RHONJ as a “platform” and that the gig was “supposed to be fun” for her. “It seems like it’s not really going in that direction,” she admitted.
She also shared that she will be fine no matter what Bravo decides about her future on the show. “I’m a big believer that God protects me. And my blessings are in the proof of my lifestyle and the good that I do,” Aydin said.
Margaret Josephs Said Jennifer Aydin Was ‘Upset’ When They Spoke
Josephs also talked about the run-in, but her version of the story was slightly different. During a January appearance on the “Reality Checked” podcast with Kiki Monique, Josephs said she ran into Aydin at the Gucci Outlet at Woodbury Commons in New York. She claimed that Aydin was upset when they began talking about “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
“She had come over to me, she was very cordial, and she was very upset,” Josephs alleged. “We discussed stuff about the show, and she was very upset, saying she’s always portrayed as the villain and that’s not who she is. And you know, we spoke about it, You know, we were very nice to each other.”
“We are not friends,” Josephs clarified of her relationship with Aydin. “You know we didn’t end [the season] on a good note but, of course, when I see anybody… I’m civil. It was the holiday. We’re in the same space. She was with her sister-in-law, and even her sister-in-law said. ‘That’s not Jennifer, she’s a good person.’”
