Jax Taylor’s run on Bravo has come to an end — for now.
“After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of ‘The Valley,'” the reality star says in a statement obtained by Variety Wednesday.
“Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting relationship. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz.”
A source close to the situation exclusively tells Page Six that Taylor’s departure does not mean the door is closed on a future return.

“Everyone wants him well, in a better place, and is supportive of his journey,” the insider tells us. “Everyone is hoping for the best.”
Taylor’s rep and a spokesperson for Bravo declined Page Six’s request for comment.
The Bravo star’s exit from the series comes after he spent two stints in rehab for a cocaine addiction.
“This is tough to say. … I’m an addict. I have substance issues, primarily with cocaine. Oh, that’s hard to say out loud,” the reality star, 46, admitted on Bravo’s “Hot Mic” podcast in March.

“I don’t necessarily think I have an alcohol problem, but the two go hand in hand. I can’t do cocaine without drinking, so I just gave up both, and I’m proud to say I’m 82, 83 days sober right now.”
Taylor has also been in the midst of a contentious divorce from his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright.
She filed the paperwork in August 2024 after five years of marriage and welcoming a son, Cruz. She requested sole legal and physical custody of the 4-year-old, with Taylor getting visitation rights.
The former couple’s issues have been front and center of “The Valley”‘s Season 2 storyline, with the exes constantly fighting over custody issues and Taylor’s substance abuse problems.

In March, Cartwright, 36, revealed the explosive fight that finally led the pair to calling it quits for good.
She claimed that after a night of partying in November 2024, her estranged husband was in a horrible mood” after using drugs the night prior and began “making her cry” on the way to their son Cruz’s doctor’s appointment. (The little boy was diagnosed with autism last year.)
Cartwright claimed the day of their confrontation was the “same day” Taylor got into a hit-and-run.
The former male model then checked himself into a rehab center — which was different than the mental health center he had been to earlier in the year — but “left early” after only 17 days.

Last September, Taylor revealed he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD, stating in part, “Mental health is a lifelong battle of not letting it control you but rather you learning to control it.”
Prior to appearing on “The Valley,” the father of one was a breakout star on “Vanderpump Rules” from Season 1 in 2013 until Season 8 in 2020.
However, he and Cartwright were fired from the hit show in 2020 — following a series of racially insensitive remarks Taylor allegedly made to a black cast member — before returning to the network for their spinoff.
