Jax Taylor reveals when he lost his virginity after wondering if he’s a s*x addict - lulu

“Late bloomer” Jax Taylor revealed he didn’t lose his virginity until he was an adult due his “very conservative” roots.

“Sex wasn’t really a big thing then. I didn’t lose my virginity until I was 19,” he told sex therapist Dr. Emily Morse on Thursday’s episode of his “In the Mind of a Man” podcast.

“That’s good. Sounds like you waited till you were ready,” Morse replied, before joking, “And then you never stopped.”

“I don’t even think I had the sex talk with my dad … I also was a very late bloomer,” the “Vanderpump Rules” alum said on his “In the Mind of a Man” podcast Thursday.mrjaxtaylor/Instagram

The “Vanderpump Rules” alum, 45, attributed his “late bloomer” status to his “very conservative” upbringing in Shelby Township, Mich., comparing his hometown to the 1950s sitcom “Leave It to Beaver.”

“I don’t even think I had the sex talk with my dad,” Taylor said, admitting his high school experience was similar to the 1999 comedy “American Pie.”

“That was my neighborhood. Very [much like] my friends. People left their doors open. It was just nothing went wrong.”

Despite his sheltered background, the “Valley” star — who revealed his cocaine addiction earlier this month — shared that drugs and alcohol began taking hold in his dating life.

“I was invincible when I’d go on dates, I have everything to talk about, I’m the life of the party,” he explained.

“Now I’m taking the backseat and all that. I’m scared because I feel like I’m not gonna be as fun or interesting,” Taylor added, referring to his sobriety.

On Wednesday, the Bravolebrity elaborated on his addiction issues — and wondered whether he was a sex addict — during an appearance on “The Adam and Dr. Drew Show.”

“I think I dabbled in it a little bit. I’m not in recovery for that, no. I’m just kind of sticking with the substance abuse right now and trying to figure that out,” he said.

“Maybe we’ll branch into that later. I’m trying to fix one problem before I get to the other problems. I’m trying to patch it.”

Taylor added that he feels he has some “other deep rooted issues” that go beyond substance abuse.

“I personally don’t think alcohol and drugs were the problem,” he said.

“I was just masking my issues with the drugs and alcohol. I don’t think I have an alcohol problem, but I do have a substance problem, but they go hand in hand, so I had to quit both.”

A rep for Taylor did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for further comment.

The reality TV star has been vocal about his mental health and sobriety journey since he entered a mental health facility center last July amid his divorce from Brittany Cartwright.

In September 2024, Taylor shared that he learned he was a “narcissist” during his 30-day stint in treatment.

“I breadcrumb, I love bomb [and also] gaslighting. I’m missing some but I do all these things. I had no idea there were terms for these things,” he said on an episode of his “When Reality Hits” podcast.

Around the same time, Taylor was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD.
