Jax Taylor has refiled legal documents amid his split from Brittany Cartwright, after his most recent response to his ex's divorce filing contained several errors.
On Thursday, Oct. 3, an attorney for Taylor, 45, corrected errors from The Valley star's most recent court filing, which he first submitted without the help of legal advisors on Wednesday, Oct. 2. The new documents, obtained by PEOPLE, state that the couple was legally married and lists their date of separation as Jan. 24, 2024.
Taylor's attorney also amended his child support and custody requests, stating in the new documents that Taylor would consent to let Cartwright, 35, have primary custody of their 3-year-old son, Cruz, while Taylor would have visitation with their son every Wednesday and every other weekend.
In his previous handwritten response to Cartwright's petition to divorce, Taylor incorrectly stated the pair were not legally married.

The timeline of their relationship was also listed incorrectly in Taylor's original response. The Vanderpump Rules alums were married on June 29, 2019, and publicly announced their separation on Feb. 29, 2024. In Cartwright's original filing, she named their date of separation as Jan. 24, 2024, while Taylor initially listed the date as Sept. 26, 2024.
Taylor also previously checked a box indicating "other" when it came to determining child support for their son, leading to further confusion.
Cartwright initially announced that she and Taylor were "taking time apart" more than six months ago. She filed for divorce on Tuesday, Aug. 27, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE — just days after Taylor completed a 30-day treatment in a mental health facility.
Cartwright cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split.
After Taylor's filing on Wednesday, Cartwright called out her estranged husband's errors on the documents, writing in an Instagram comment left under an E! News post that the pair are still "legally married."
"I’m guessing paperwork is hard for some people. 🫣," she wrote.

A source told PEOPLE earlier this week that Taylor was still feeling conflicted following the end of his marriage to Cartwright.
"Jax is feeling mixed emotions," the source said. "He knows this is ultimately the right decision, but is sad that things ended up the way they have."
"It’s been an emotional month for him, and he’s trying to stay strong for his son," the source added.
Cartwright, meanwhile, previously spoke to PEOPLE about finally taking the step to split from Taylor.
“Even through our separation, I still was holding onto hope that we could work things out,” Cartwright said last month.
"I think it's been very obvious how much I loved him and how hard I tried to work on our relationship," she continued. "I wanted to make sure I did every single thing I could possibly do to give it a chance and to try for my family, for my son, for my future, but I couldn't do it anymore. I had to put myself first."
Viewers will see the split play out on season 2 of The Valley, Cartwright added. “You'll see why I had to do what I had to do,” she teased.
