Jax Taylor hired Kevin Federline‘s lawyer days after he mistakenly handed over all rights to custody of Cruz to his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright after making a litany of errors when filing legal paperwork by himself.

According to reports from In Touch, the 45-year-old hired powerhouse attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, who famously represented Britney Spears‘ ex-husband and baby daddy. “Mark has been instrumental in Kevin, 46, securing substantial support increases from the pop star over the years.”
Jax asked that “neither party be awarded spousal support in the settlement.” While I’m shocked Jax isn’t planning on trying to squeeze Brittany for cash – as Kevin has done to Britney for 18 years – he requested the court to “award him all property he acquired by gift and all property he earned before and after the separation.”

The Valley star cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split from her estranged husband/baby daddy. Brittany listed the date of separation as January 24, 2024 and asked the court to award her primary legal and physical custody of their son. However, Brittany said Jax could have visitation with Cruz.
Brittany requested neither party be awarded spousal support. Brittany, unlike Britney, is trying to keep Jax (read K. Fed out her her purse.)
