Jax Taylor has a simple explanation for the underwear that Brittany Cartwright found on their bathroom sink, as seen in The Valley Season 2 trailer.
The Vanderpump Rules alum shared the truth behind the undergarment in his cover story for Us Weekly published on March 26.
"We did these bar crawls, and girls sometimes leave us with things," the Jax's Studio City part owner said. "And that’s what that was. [If I had brought a woman home], I would own it. What am I hiding? I was hooking up with girls then. So what is the difference if there’s underwear there or not?"

Though Jax and Brittany had been separated for a little while when cameras picked back up for The Valley Season 2, they still weren't eager to hear about each other's dating lives.
In the trailer for the sophomore season, which you can check out at the top of this post, Brittany tells castmates Janet Caperna and Michelle Saniei that she found out that Jax "has been seeing people."
"There is a thong on my bathroom sink. It's like, why was there a baby wipe on top of it?" Brittany asks her friends while the three are out to lunch.
Is Jax Taylor dating anyone?
The former SUR bartender has now been separated for more than a year, but he's not looking to get into another relationship.
"I am in no way, shape, or form interested in a relationship," he said on the March 20 episode of his podcast, In the Mind of a Man with Jax Taylor.
After the thong incident, Jax is hopeful that both he and Brittany can move on.
"Unfortunately, my ex-wife and I, we went our separate ways. So, of course when you come out — and this goes for her too — I want her to go out, explore, and have fun because it didn't work for either of us," he continued.
Instead, he's trying to be clear about what he's looking for.
"So, no, I'm not looking for a relationship right now, but at the same time [do you say], 'I'm glad you're here, I don't want to date you, but let's have sex?'" he wondered.
"I don't want to lie to these girls, I just don't want to hurt their feelings," he continued. "It's more about that."
