Jax Taylor opened up about his tax issues during a recent Instagram Live session.
After it was revealed that the ex-Vanderpump Rules star owes a whopping $1.2 million in back taxes to both the IRS and the State of California, Jax blamed his money troubles on his former bookkeeper while also talking about his exit from Bravo and the bullying and harassment he receives on social media.
“Oh yeah, I had a bad tax situation,” Jax, 41, admitted during the IG Live session, via Reality Ashhole on Instagram. “I had a bad bookkeeper. We all get bad bookkeepers. I suggest researching your bookkeeper when you pay your taxes because I got f*cked.”
While a couple of tax liens have been placed against Jax, one in the amount of $868,035 from the IRS and a second from the State of California for an additional $316,571, Jax, who purchased a $1.9 million home with wife Brittany Cartwright in 2019, doesn’t seem too concerned.
“I’m fixing it. It’s not a big deal,” he told fans.
As his IG Live continued, Jax spoke of his December 2020 departure from Pump Rules, noting that while he’ll miss his paycheck, he understands why the show decided to move forward without him.
“I’m going to miss the paycheck. That’s it. That’s the only thing I’m going to miss,” Jax said. “The show made a good decision. I stand with them 100 percent. I love everybody that was on it. I had a great run. Not too many guys can last nine years on a reality show.”
“It’s not fair to the show because I don’t put any effort in anymore. I’m not interested in that lifestyle,” he added.

Meanwhile, in a couple of posts shared to his Instagram Stories, Jax took aim at his online critics.
“I’ll never understand the thought process of going to a person’s social media whom you don’t know and verbally assault them, like how much time do you have in your pathetic life. You look like a sad insecure soul. Jesus build people up right now don’t we have enough sh*t to read,” he wrote, adding that he’ll “never understand people who project insecurities they have on to others.”
In a second post, another Jax tweet read, “I remember when I used to lash out on people in responses on social media and I will never be that person again. I am trying to learn and grow from my mistakes and I will never understand people who bully and harass on social media. Especially when it comes to a pregnant woman.”
He also added, “I don’t know who needs to hear this, just take a minute before you write a hateful text, why are you doing it? What are you gaining from it. Bring people up not down we have enough hate in this world.”
Vanderpump Rules season nine is expected to go into production soon.
