Jamie reveals the reason she spent Final Vows night alone after she and Dave got their happy ending - suong

EXCLUSIVE: Australia rejoiced as one of MAFS' favourite couples Jamie and Dave got their happy ending at Final Vows – but the night after didn't go exactly as planned.

Despite concerns that Dave's feelings weren't as strong as hers, Jamie wasn't ready to let go of the relationship and nor was Dave so the pair committed to a future together.

Dave swooped up his little 'pocket rocket' and they whisked off into the sunset, but despite the picturesque backdrop the romance didn't continue into the night with Jamie explaining her and Dave actually spent the evening apart.

And the reason itself was completely unfortunate.

"I was actually incredibly ill that day," Jamie told 9Entertainment. "So unfortunately when we went back to the room, I had a fever and was sleeping the whole way through!"

Jamie described her and Dave's relationship after Final Vows as "open-ended".

There was no denying they had some work to do to get their relationship back in the spot it once, was but it was clear that neither Jamie or Dave wanted to "give up".

Jamie revealed that she and Dave had very open conversations about what a real future in Melbourne could look like together.

"Dave loves his dog, I have a phobia of dogs, so we spoke about maybe moving into a bigger space where the dog wouldn't be in the bedroom or incorporating dates by the beach where the dog could come," Jamie explained.

"But it was sp good to have discussions about what a life together, actually dating and not on MAFS, would be like.

"Very keen to see how our lives mesh on the outside, 100 per cent."

Jamie said she was "relieved" to finally get to Final Vows with Dave.

"We've seen the journey play out and have highs and lows, but it's been beautiful," she said.

Despite the ups and downs, Jamie was "pretty certain" of her and Dave's Final Vows outcome.

"We left in a very optimistic place and we both owed it to our relationship." she said.
