A glimpse into James Kennedy's time on 'Vanderpump Rules'
Over the years — and all the ups and downs they brought — viewers got to see Kennedy grow as a DJ and a person.
According to Bravo TV's website, Kennedy — George Michael's godson — first appeared on "Vanderpump" while working at SUR and dating OG cast member Kristen Doute. However, Season 4 marked his first as a full-time cast member.
The show documented Kennedy's struggles with alcohol and his sobriety journey. It showed the divisive drama he got into with multiple cast members and the redemption arcs that followed with several of them. And, it followed his close-knit relationships with former boss Lisa Vanderpump, fellow castmate Lala Kent, ex-fiancée Rachel (aka Raquel) Leviss — who was one of the major players in "Scandoval" — and girlfriend, spiritual astrologer Ally Lewber, who he's called the love of his life.
James Kennedy's response to 'Vanderpump Rules' reboot, casting changeup
Kennedy penned an emotional Instagram post that said: "It's been a pleasure being a part of Vanderpump Rules and filling your TV screens with our lives over the past decade. I've dedicated my life to this show and I'm forever grateful to everyone who tuned in."
He said all of his dreams are finally coming true. This year, he played huge events, including Neon Carnival, Stagecoach and EDC Las Vegas. He also has a Las Vegas residency at Fontainebleau's LIV nightclub and LIV Beach.
"I have all of you to thank," Kennedy continued in the post. "It's been a wild ride and I'm excited to see what the future holds. Although this is a bittersweet ending, for me, this is just the beginning! THANK YOU."
