Feedback week on MAFS Australia 2025 has been full of drama. Jacqui’s honesty letter to Ryan was really something. The full letter was quite long, and didn’t all make it into that episode of MAFS Australia 2025.
Lucky for us, Jacqui posted pictures of what she says was the full letter. She even read out the letter (with additional explanatory notes) for those of us who struggle to read her handwriting. It makes for fascinating reading material.
Jacqui says she only had ten minutes to write the letter, which is why her handwriting is messy.
She added: “If I may say so myself, I do think this is a piece of iconic literature that should go down in the history books as the most epic letter of all time.”
She says the full letter reached three pages, and she made 25 per cent of it positive, because she “didn’t want to completely crush this man’s ego” and she “wanted to give him a little bit of hope”.
So, here’s the full concerns letter that Jacqui wrote for Ryan on MAFS Australia.
“Dear Ryan,
“The good. I love how much fun we have, even just after an issue is resolved. We may move at different paces, but you balance me out and take things slower at times.”
Jacqui explained on Instagram hat Ryan was “very slow at times” and this was her “nice way of putting it as a compliment”.

The letter continued: “Anyway, I love talking photos with you, videos, recording content and dancing and being a goofball. You don’t judge, and I like that you don’t take yourself too seriously. You take an interest in my love of fashion and let me help dress you. We both put in 100 per cent effort, are genuine, and have more resilience than 10 ordinary people.
“You make me smile a lot because you’re f*cking hilarious. And you genuinely want to make me happy. Your heart tries its best.
“The concerns. Ryan, I’m concerned that you don’t have a stable and predictable career. But acting is risky. Although I don’t doubt you’ll find something, I’m concerned that you financially contribute less than I will. And I will be the primary breadwinner putting you in a place where you don’t want to be the primary caregiver.”
Jacqui explained that the context of Ryan being a part-time actor wasn’t shown on TV.
The letter continues: “I’m concerned that you wouldn’t be capable of contributing on family investment interests or getting involved in property development with us. I am concerned that you don’t work as hard or as late as me and don’t desire the same standard of living and quality.
“I’m concerned you have built your sense of self on top of outdated beliefs about masculinity. Your extreme sense of masculine pride and fragile ego are difficult to deal with and come at my expense. When your ego or masculinity or dominance is challenged, you overreact, escalate conflict and create chaos in groups and scenarios that deflects from the original nerve hit. You used me as an emotional punching bag and put me down whenever your dominance and superiority are questioned.
Jacqui’s letter then criticised Ryan’s “beliefs on gender roles and stereotypes”.

“For example, your belief on body count, how men should cultivate power, and about stay at home dads concern me. I’m concerned that you lack a healthy balance and respect towards feminine nurturing qualities like kindness, consideration, flexibility, openness, generosity, vulnerability, and curiosity.
“It feels like you’re not open to trying to understand other people’s opinions or beliefs. You lack the ability to find power in vulnerability. I still haven’t seen any critical thinking skills from you and I need you to always be open to questioning your own beliefs and start with the assumption that you aren’t and nobody is perfect. We have 50 years plus to learn and get things right. And even then, we are still going to die being unsure. And that is okay.
“My biggest fear is marrying a man that ends up stubborn and stuck in his own ways and beliefs as the world moves on. Your opinions might be wrong and that’s okay. In fact, a lot of yours need a lot of work. You should be diversifying your thinking. You can’t seem to own your own views. And you seem to subconsciously know there may be problems with them.
“You are overdramatic. You overreact and you don’t seem to be solution-orientated. You get hyper defensive when challenged and seem to take issue in being seen as anything but the perfect man, aka the warrior.
“I am concerned that you would be better suited to a trad wife.”
Ryan has repeatedly denied Jacqui’s claims about what he was like while they were filming MAFS Australia together. On his Instagram, he wrote “nothing about Jacqui is genuine” and called her “manipulative”.
