Jackie Goldschneider clapped back after Margaret Josephs suggested Jackie would ‘spiral’ if not invited to a recent event. Jackie seemingly accused her of “belittling” her “mental health,” and she hinted that Margaret goes after “other people’s peace” because she “can’t find” her own.
In the past few years, Jackie has opened up about her disordered eating. She wrote a memoir about her experience — and Margaret was displeased she never got an advanced copy. The two castmates, who were once close (before Jackie was demoted to a ‘friend of’ on Real Housewives of New Jersey), are now sliding into enemy territory on the current season.
On the latest episode, via @bravohousewives on Instagram, Margaret told Melissa Gorga that she should invite Jackie to a housewarming party so that Jackie won’t “spiral to a dark place and blame [Melissa] for it.”
“Belittling someone’s mental health is never in good taste,” wrote Jackie on her Instagram Stories on Monday, June 10. “Nothing could make me spiral back into an eating disorder. Nothing.”
She ended the post, “Don’t come for other people’s peace just because you can’t find yours.”
In a past interview for the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Jackie addressed the end of her friendship with Margaret.
“I think [Margaret] felt like she could do the show without filming with Teresa [Giudice]. And I think she also was looking at [the show] a little bit as a game, you know, or a competition show,” she shared at the time. “Less of a friend group and more of a competition show where, ‘If I get enough people onto my side, I’ll win.’ So I think that also contributed to the disconnect this season, unfortunately.”
“That definitely contributed to it. But I think [also] there was a level of loyalty expected of me. Friendships should be easy. They should contribute joy and ease and comfort to your life. They shouldn’t be you having to answer for everything and [have] blind loyalty,” the star added. “It shouldn’t be like that and I think a lot was expected of me as a friend.”
