Harry Cooksley has complained about how the edit of one memorable Love Island 2025 scene did him “a little dirty”. Apparently Love Island viewers missed out on lots of context. I will be watching this scene back and paying attention to every detail, now.
Remember when Harry and his ex Emma had that long chat, and the cameras kept cutting away to Helena looking stressed? We saw Harry tell Emma he still had love for her, that they need a recoupling, and that they should take their house off the market. Emma mentioned winning the £50,000 prize. Lots of Love Island viewers interpreted this as evidence that Harry and Emma had a secret game plan to fake a break-up, reunite on Love Island and win the show. But both Harry and Emma have complained about how the edit of this particular conversation on Love Island made them look.
The house Harry and Emma bought together is still on the market, if you’re interested *jazz hands*.
Harry said on the Not My Bagg podcast: “That conversation was ages. That conversation was like, 45 minutes. And I haven’t seen exactly what got… I saw the clip when I was in there about, ‘oh, we’ll take the house off the market’, all of that. But we talked about so much in that.”
“That conversation started with her just hammering me. just saying my behaviour is a disgrace, all of it, and then it kind of came round to her being like, ‘Oh, we should couple up and do this.’
“I wasn’t having it, obviously. But it kind of looked like I was having it, because I think I said, ‘I love you, I’ve still got so much love for you.’ Which is true. Obviously there’s love there. We spent a lot of time together.
“Some of the edits have done me a little dirty.”

Emma has also spoken about how she felt that particular scene was staged, and “the producers really stitched [her] up”.
She dished about her relationship with Harry on the the Spill With Will podcast. She claims her comments about teaming up to win the £50,000 were really a joke, but because this part of the conversation was shown without the proceeding context, viewers didn’t get that.
Emma said: “A lot of the times when Harry and I were having conversations, neither of us wanted to be there, right? We were very much encouraged to have conversations. So this was quite forced, and we just didn’t have anything to talk about, and we were just messing around. There was nothing else to say and we were being so unserious. And as we were having the conversation, I even thought, ‘There’s no way they’re airing this, because it’s so stupid.'”
“The producers really stitched me up there. None if it was actually being serious. Never did I go in there thinking, ‘Yeah, I’m going to win and I’m going to win with Harry.’ That was never the game plan.”
Harry was also asked on Not My Bagg if he’d spoken to Emma since the Love Island villa. But apparently Emma has blocked him on all social media platforms. “I don’t really know why,” he added.
