Carolina Quixano has been at the center of drama on The Bachelor for the past two weeks. Plus, it seems like there will be more drama surrounding her next week. Now, fans are talking more about the situation and many are calling her Maria Georgas 2.0. Why are they saying this? Keep reading to get all the details.

Is Carolina Being Portrayed As Maria 2.0 On The Bachelor?

The Bachelor franchise is no stranger to drama and every season it appears. On Grant Ellis’ season, the drama to date has been involving Carolina Quixano and Rose Sombke. However, on Monday night the drama also involved Juliana Pasquarosa.

No matter what Carolina does, she seems to find herself in the hot seat. Looking back, some fans remember Maria Georgas enduring the same thing on Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor.

On Reddit, fans discussed the similarities and how they feel about the drama that has been taking place. Many are frustrated and do see similarities between the two women and how they have been portrayed. However, most agree that Maria was able to hold her ground while Carolina got emotional and cried over it multiple times.

Here are some comments from fans about the entire Carolina situation.

  •  “I feel like producers are trying to make Carolina into Maria 2.0 after everyone rallied around Maria so much last season.”
  • “Yesss it’s giving major Maria vibes from last season. All the girls are ganging up on her and then getting upset that she’s upset. Also, I think it’s extremely mature of her to have doubts, she’s being realistic. Julianna coming at her like that was so crazy to me. They’re all creating these narratives that just aren’t true.”
  • “This is my first time checking social media on Bachelor Nation stuff since starting the show so super glad others aren’t buying into this villain thing too. Feels a bit like Maria last season.”

Is Production Setting Her Up?

Are producers really trying to portray Carolina as Maria 2.0? Are they wanting to see if fans will rally behind her instead of deeming her the villain of Grant’s season of The Bachelor?

Time will tell as Grant’s journey continues. Who’s side are you on and do you support Carolina being honest about her emotions and not knowing Grant very well?

Fans won’t want to miss the upcoming episode of The Bachelor which will air Monday night on ABC and the following day on Hulu.
