Katie Maloney is ending the year on a high note (pun intended). In addition to her success with Something About Her; as a podcast host; and her recent move into a new home, she's also found love again with Sleeping with Sirens guitarist, Nick Martin.
Katie first confirmed their relationship on her Disrespectfully podcast in October. Since then, she's been slowly making the relationship more public — even posting a photo with Nick to her Instagram Stories on December 10.
As it turns out, Nick and Katie actually have a lot in common as they are both famous faces. Katie, of course, rose to fame on Vanderpump Rules, and Nick is known as the guitarist for the band, Sleeping with Sirens. But, there's so much more to learn about Nick, and, lucky for you, we've rounded up the details on the musician.
Where is Nick Martin from?
Nick currently resides in Los Angeles, per his Instagram bio, but he grew up in San Diego, California. He spoke about his childhood during an August 2023 appearance on the Emo's Not Dead podcast. While most of the Instagrams he shares on his account are career-leaning, he's also shared looks at his life with his family, including his mom and dad, the latter of whom passed away earlier this year.
He previously opened up about how his family helped influence his love for music. "I grew up in a household where music was always being played," he told Skratch 'N Sniff. "My dad has the biggest record collection of anyone I’ve ever met in my life. I’m talking tens of thousands of vinyl records. He constantly played music, especially on the weekends. He would put on a song and tell me the band, what record it was from, tell me about the lead singer. He had this weird knowledge of music, but he didn’t have any sort of musical background. One of my most important memories growing up is listening to literally everything. Classical music. Rock music. My dad got me into punk music. And then from my mom’s side, she’s, she’s Hispanic, so I grew up on Mariachi music and Cumbias and that influenced the hell out of me, too. I figured out early on in my life that I loved all types of music. I was a very eclectic listener and was digesting, but also dissecting songs at a really young age."
When is Nick Martin's birthday?
According to his X (formerly Twitter) bio, Nick celebrates his birthday on December 10, which makes him a Sagittarius. To mark his birthday in 2024, Katie shared a snuggly photo with Nick to her Instagram Stories to celebrate his big day (more on that below).
Who is Nick Martin's band, Sleeping with Sirens?
Sleeping with Sirens was formed in 2009 in Orlando, Florida, consisting of members of the bands For All We Know and Paddock Park, according to Wikipedia. The band, which plays pop-punk and emo style music, currently includes members Nick, as well as Kellin Quinn, Justin Hills, and Matty Best. Their most recent album is called Complete Collapse and they have tour dates lined up for 2025.
When reflecting on his 2024 tour dates with Sleeping with Sirens, Nick wrote on Instagram, "To everyone who has come out to a show so far, I can’t express enough the gratitude I have for each and every one of you. We got word that every show on this tour is officially sold out & it’s all because of YOU! Thank you for being a part of our family. We love you so much."
Nick Martin's coffee company details
As it turns out, Nick is a co-founder in a coffee company named Charlie Royal in addition to his music career.
"In a world full of complicated coffee, Charlie Royal is here to rescue you with some easy-to-make, scintillating cold brew. While you can brew Charlie Royal coffee any which way you like, it really shines when slow-steeped and enjoyed cold," the official website notes, adding, "Dreamed up by co-founder Nick Martin, Charlie Royal is a delightful character who was born without superpowers but is ready to do what’s necessary to change the world. (Sounds like you, too!) One secret to Charlie’s gumption: Dark, unsweetened cold brew, savored alone or shared with friends."
When did Katie Maloney start dating her new boyfriend, Nick Martin?
It's unclear exactly when Katie and Nick started dating. But she has been open about her romantic life following the end of her marriage and divorce from Tom Schwartz and is slowly sharing more about her life with Nick.
In October, she noted that they make efforts to see one another even as he travels a lot for his job in the band. "I went to go see my boyfriend. He has to travel for work, so I went to go meet up with him, hang out with him, and spend some time [together]. And it was really amazing because I hadn't seen him in a few weeks," Katie said. "And just being able to spend some quality time and just be around him was just really necessary. I had a really good time."

Katie's podcast co-host Dayna Kathan has given her seal of approval to her pal's new guy. "He's very lovely," Dayna said back in October, with Katie adding, "He's the most wonderful person I've ever met."

Scheana Shay, on the other hand, has met Nick. "Let me tell you, he could not have been nicer," she explained about running into him and Katie attending a music festival in Las Vegas in October. "We ended up at a different food truck, in like a 5 to 10-minute conversation with some mutual friends. He's from San Diego, talked about that. And then I ran into them later back at the hotel at the end of the night and was just a sweet guy."
Katie Maloney reacts to Vanderpump Rules Season 12 cast shakeup
Katie is definitely in a new era in her personal life, as well as her professional one in the wake of the news that VPR Season 12 would include a new cast (Lisa Vanderpump will be back).
"It was some amazing memories, I learned a lot. I went through a lot being on that show. It was not always easy,” Katie said on her podcast about the cast changes on Vanderpump Rules. "I think being able to have that break away from it has been healing, really promotes a lot of growth."
In a separate Instagram post, she added, "It's a mixed bag. But I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for the memories and the love the last 11 years."
Next up, she's focused on making sweet music with Nick and in the next phase of her career and life.
