In the latest episode of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC), Bronwyn Newport faced heavy criticism from her castmates after claiming that her husband, Todd Bradley, had cheated on her. The allegations were accused of being a deliberate ploy to boost Bronwyn's own image while tarnishing her husband's reputation, escalating tensions among the cast.
The episode, which aired Wednesday night, featured Bronwyn tearfully revealing details about Todd’s past actions during a trip to Puerto Vallarta. However, instead of receiving sympathy, she faced backlash from cast members such as Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, and Mary Cosby. They accused her of intentionally “slandering” Todd to gain attention and protect her own public image.
Heather Gay voiced her strong disapproval on the RHOSLC: After Show, saying, “Going public about her marriage? You mean throwing Todd under the bus? I don’t think that’s how you protect or love someone. Instead, it feels more like betrayal.” Heather expressed shock that Bronwyn would expose such personal family matters, especially when she had previously painted her relationship with Todd as a perfect love story.
Lisa Barlow and Mary Cosby agreed, condemning Bronwyn’s decision to reveal how Todd had been caught cheating by their daughter via an iPad. Lisa pointed out that Bronwyn had unnecessarily subjected Todd to public judgment. “You shouldn’t say things you want to forget, especially when everyone else will remember them,” Lisa warned.
However, not everyone turned against Bronwyn. Whitney Rose and Angie Katsanevas defended her. Angie praised Bronwyn for showing vulnerability and authenticity in the episode, while Whitney argued that sharing the struggles of marriage is a sign of genuine friendship. “No marriage is perfect. We all experience ups and downs,” Whitney emphasized.
As for Bronwyn, she explained that her decision to reveal Todd’s infidelity was not meant to cause harm but rather to address her feelings of isolation within the group. “I’ve always had to deal with accusations that I’m a gold digger and don’t love my husband. But the truth is, I love Todd so much that I’m willing to confront these tough realities to protect our marriage,” Bronwyn explained.
Despite her attempts to justify her actions, many of the other cast members remained angry, accusing Bronwyn of exploiting her family drama for attention on camera and making Todd the victim of her pursuit of fame.
The latest episode of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, season five, continues to air on Wednesday nights at 9/8c on Bravo, promising more heated developments surrounding Bronwyn and Todd’s story.
