Inside ‘The Valley’ Star Kristen Doute’s Baby Shower With Host Brittany Cartwright

Pregnant Kristen DouteKristen Doute’s dream of becoming a mother is one step closer to becoming a reality.

The Valley star and her fiancé, Luke BroderickLuke Broderick, celebrated their first baby’s impending arrival with an intimate shower hosted by close friend and costar Brittany Cartwright.

“Brittany is the queen of hosting parties and she truly loves it,” Kristen exclusively shared with Us Weekly. “She always thinks of the little things, like having Luke drop off things in advance so that when I come, I can be truly surprised and she can capture that moment. These little things are what make the events she hosts truly special.”

Guests including The Valley costars Nia Sanchez, Jesse Lally, Jasmine Goode and Zack Wickham mingled with Vanderpump Rules alums Ariana Madix and Tom Schwartz on Sunday, April 27.

Together, they all celebrated the happy couple at a weekend event with the theme, “A Little Wildflower Is On the Way.”

“I think Luke is just more calm about everything,” Kristen shared with Us after the event, which was designed by Picnic + Petal. “It’s just a whole new world for us, but I know that when she’s here, we will be really great being parents. I’m not scared, but the hospital hands you a baby and then you go home and you’re on your own.”

Fortunately, Kristen and Luke have the support of many family and friends including Nia, who is expecting her fourth baby with husband Danny Booko.

“We’ve gone through almost this full pregnancy together, so she’s just been there every step of the way since fertility,” Kristen gushed. “We’ve talked about delivery, we’ve talked about postpartum and raising the girls together, so every single step, she’s been there.”

Future Parents
As Luke and Kristen prepare to welcome a baby girl, the couple warned fans they won’t be bringing cameras along for the delivery.

“I'll only have my iPhone in the delivery room,” Kristen shared. “Absolutely no cameras!”

Shock and Awe
Kristen looked visibly surprised to see what Brittany and her friends pulled off for the special baby shower.

Flower Power
Kristen posed in front of her flower wall built by Flower Wall Rentals. Lovestruck Blooms also helped provide flowers for the special shower.

Hostess With the Mostess
Kristen had complete faith that Brittany would be the perfect host for her baby shower.

“She works with a party planner for every party, but like, she just has these visions,” Kristen gushed to Us. “She has Pinterest boards. It just comes really naturally to her, and she really enjoys it.”

Jesse, Zack, Ariana and Schwartz took time out of their busy schedules to celebrate Kristen and Luke.

Let's Eat
Guests were able to enjoy delicious food including a cake from Sip & Sugar Co., macarons from Boy Mama Bakes and a custom cheese and fruit spread from BonAppecheese.

With a baby name already chosen, Kristen revealed the one thing she still has to do before her daughter arrives. “Just finish the nursery,” she told Us.
