After Zara McDermott split from Made In Chelsea boyfriend Sam Thompson earlier this year, it has now been revealed that she has bought her own property - and it’s just around the corner from the home they shared together.
Zara, 28, who rose to fame after starring in Love Island, and Sam, 32, lived together in a West London mansion, which was located next door to Sam’s famous sister, Louise, and her partner.
Before the couple split, they shared their home renovation updates with fans on an Instagram page, @thethompsonproject. It has 137,000 followers who were keen to get a glimpse of how the couple designed their home, furnished each room, and reflected their personalities within their living space.

One of the highlights of their home was the cinema room which the couple called the “set up of dreams” and used to watch Love Island. It came equipped with a plush carpet and cosy sofa, as well as a bar at the back of the room which had fluffy stools, shelves of drinks, and modern hanging lights.
The bathroom, meanwhile, had light-up marble-effect surfaces, a walk-in shower, and a large bathtub, which they called “perfection”.

Outside, the couple added faux grass, greenery and lavender along the perimeter, and a neutral patio with grey and white sun loungers. They said: “We love the garden so much, we never dreamed of having a garden this beautiful.”
The property also had a gaming room for Sam with shelving, a desk, and TV mounted on the wall. Zara said it was important for them to get the space “feeling beautiful” as well as masculine as Sam spent a lot of time in it.
She explained on Instagram that the centre-piece, the desk, felt “so luxurious, heavy duty and gives a slight industrial feel”, adding: “With the bronze inlay it fits perfectly with our switches and sockets, and also the antique bronze on the wall panels.

The lounge was neutral-themed, with a large TV on the wall and cosy furniture, and they also had a “snug area” which had a large L-shaped cream sofa and statement art on the walls.
In the dining room, there was a round table with six seats for hosting. Zara explained: “We wanted a round table because we thought it would work so well in the space; this one works so well with our colour scheme too.” She said it had an antique bronze detail on the base which matched the rest of the home as all their light switches and sockets were bronze.

Zara reportedly bought her new home around the corner for £500,000, a source told The Sun. They said : “She bought it two weeks ago under her company name, it’s a two bed flat in a nice area and weirdly, not that far from where she lived with Sam. It will make it really awkward when they cross paths at the local pub or in a coffee shop, though."
