Imrul Hassan revealed what was cut from Summer House, called it “f**ked up,” and shared why he joined the show. He entered the cast last season, though he recently confirmed that he chose not to return. Some fans thought he didn’t make an effort to intermingle with costars, while others claimed he received an unfair edit.

Imrul is currently trying to get funding as he builds an English school for children in Bangladesh. Many viewers were disappointed they didn’t see this side of him on the show.

On the “Bravo! We’re Black” podcast, Imrul shared that an important scene was “cut out” of a dinner episode.

“What I didn’t realize is they were going to cut out … where I talk about my English school – because at that time it was also one of the reasons I went on the show,” he said, via @thebravoinvestigator on Instagram. “It wasn’t like [I was on the show] to propel my career into this. If it did, fantastic. If it didn’t, all good. But I knew I was going to have a little platform to talk about what I really think is my life’s mission, and they cut that out, and that was just so hurtful.”

“I’m not sure how much I can talk about this – I’m going to talk about it anyway … I don’t give a s**t at this point because it was f**ked up,” he went on. “They [also] cut me out of the whole weekend sloppily [before the scene].”

According to Imrul, they cut out a scene in which he apologized for frequently bringing people back to the house.

“I realized I wasn’t being as thoughtful or keeping their feelings in mind or communicating that, so I wanted to hear that out and I apologize[d],” he said. “I even made a little joke with Carl [Radke], like, ‘I’m going to try to learn from Carl and not go out and not bring people back.’ They kind of laughed, but they cut that whole thing out.”

“Then we had that dinner that night, which was a good dinner,” he said, “but they focused on West [Wilson] and Ciara [Miller] sitting next to each other, or whatever it was.”
