"I mean, I’m good — but not that good" Jax Taylor breaks silence on shocking claim he faked a heart attack to escape rehab — but Brittany and castmates aren’t buying it - suong

After The Valley's Jax Taylor claimed to suffer a health scare in rehab, a producer on The Valley After Show asked the question his castmates had already been speculating about: "Did you fake a heart attack?"

Without hesitating, Jax insisted he wouldn't even know how to "convince somebody out of rehab" that he was experiencing a medical emergency. "I mean, I'm good, but I'm not that good," he responded on the After Show for Season 2, Episode 9. "They test you. How do you fake a heart attack? … They have to put the devices on you and all that."

According to Jax, what actually happened is the facility's medical staff evaluated his symptoms, which his sister, Jenny, previously described as "super high" blood pressure, and advised him to go to the hospital. However, he explained in the above clip that they left the decision up to him. "And I said, 'Well, I don't really want to go.'"

Offering that his elevated blood pressure could be stress-related, a staff member allegedly instructed Jax to "go rest for a little bit" while they made arrangements to transport him to a local hospital. In the meantime, he said he fell asleep, and by the time they woke him, he'd decided he was "fine" and refused further treatment.

"I had to sign [a document] saying I'm not gonna go," Jax added. "But, no, I can't manipulate a facility. That's kind of crazy."

After Jesse Lally pointed out that he is Jax Taylor, after all, the dad to 4-year-old Cruz continued, "I mean, I've been known to manipulate some people, that's for sure, but I don't understand. I don't know how I could manipulate nurses. That's pretty serious."

The Valley cast gives insight on Jax Taylor's alleged heart attack

Elsewhere on the After Show, Brittany Cartwright, Janet Caperna, and Jason Caperna weighed in on the matter.

Janet and Brittany cast doubt on Jax's story, with the latter sharing, "The therapist told us the next day that he did not go to the hospital."

Jason, meanwhile, said that he "did talk to Jax" about the idea that he had faked a heart attack, and Jax maintained that he didn't. As Jason put it, "I'm like, 'Dude, what the hell?' He's like, 'That never happened.'"

Later, Jason added, "It's hard for me to believe that, like, a person would do that. I've never gotten to the bottom of that story. I've never even wanted to think about it because it's too weird."

Details on Jax Taylor's health scare on The Valley

Brittany received news of Jax’s alleged medical event while FaceTiming with Jenny on Episode 8. Her estranged husband knew the call was taking place, Brittany claimed, because he was watching her through their home security cameras — and even texted a producer who was on site for the conversation.

"Even as mad and angry at him as I am, I don't want anything to happen to him," she told his sister, at the time.

By the June 10 episode, however, she had apparently gotten more intel, which she revealed to her The Valley castmates.

In a confessional interview, she added, "I know for a fact Jax is putting out a completely different story, and he wants to sugarcoat everything and make things look better than they are. … I'm going through hell."
