“I love James… but the ring’s from someone else” – Luann de Lesseps spills on mystery men, rekindled pirate flames, and throws shade at Erika Jayne and Joe Bradley in jaw-dropping WWHL appearance that leaves Andy Cohen stunned - suong

Luann de Lesseps offered an update on her relationship with her Love Hotel suitor, James, on Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.

While also explaining her alleged engagement ring, sharing new information about Tomas Ribeiro, her pirate flame on The Real Housewives of New York City season five, and shading the music career of Erika Jayne, 53, Luann revealed if she or Sonja Morgan, 61, had a higher body count and raised questions about the romance between Southern Hospitality cast members Joe Bradley, 28, and Maddi Reese, 26.

“James gave me this key as a gift,” Luann shared on the June 15 episode of WWHL as she showed off her necklace and confirmed that she and James are still an item.

According to Luann, she was drawn to James due to his love of life.

“He lives his inner child, and I feel like a nine-year-old girl when I’m with him … I love James,” she gushed. “And then he’s very spiritual. He loves yoga. He’s a meditator, and I love that about him. He’s very solid as a person and somebody I can trust.”

While Luann hasn’t yet visited James in Hawaii, where he resides, she said they speak “all the time” and connect in Los Angeles.

“We meet in Santa Monica and in L.A. He came to my cabaret show in L.A. at Wiltern. He came with the boys,” she shared. 

As for the mysterious ring she’s been wearing on her wedding finger, that was not given to her by James, but by another suitor.

“It is an aquamarine. It was a gift from one of my admirers, that’s all I’m gonna say. Not James. The key is from James,” she clarified. “[And I’m wearing it on my wedding ring finger] because it doesn’t fit this one.”

When a fan questioned Luann about whether the pirate showing up at the Love Hotel would’ve changed the outcome of her time on the series, Luann said it “probably” wouldn’t have changed a thing.

“Tomas lives in Miami now and he cut his hair really short so he kind of lost his pirate… he doesn’t look anything like he used to. I liked him kind of dissolved [and] pirate-y,” she noted.

Then, after Luann said that she was “of course” a more successful artist than Erika, “without a doubt,” and noted that Sonja “definitely” has a higher body count than she does, Love Hotel host Joel Kim Booster, 37, suggested that Joe, a past hookup of Luann’s, be added to season two.

“He’s with Maddi,” Andy Cohen replied, prompting a shady response from Luann.

“Is he, though?” Luann cryptically wondered. “Is he, though?”

“Well, not until the next time [you walk] in the room. We’ve seen how that plays,” Andy admitted.

On the WWHL: After Show, Luann confirmed that while James had not yet met any of her RHONY castmates, that was only because he hadn’t yet visited her in New York.

“I’ve been going to the West Coast. So it’s time for James to travel,” she noted.

She then said that although James did not know her from her role on RHONY, he has since gotten “caught up.”

“He’s been watching everything,” she shared.
