Shannon Beador was pulled over in Orange County last month amid her three-year DUI probation.
Just under two years after the 61-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star was arrested for DUI after crashing her car into a residence in Newport Beach, Shannon was cited and released by police and ordered to pay a small fine after committing a driving infraction.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on July 7, Shannon was cited for driving “while operating a handheld wireless telephone or electronic wireless communication device” on May 21, and she has until July 11 to pay a $20 fine.
Since it was her first handheld offense, Shannon won’t receive any points on her license. If it happens again, the fine will increase to $50, and she will be in jeopardy of receiving points.
As RHOC fans will recall, Shannon was charged with DUI in September 2023 after an apparent hit-and-run. As police reports revealed at the time, Shannon left the scene and was later found walking her dog, Archie, nearby. It was also revealed that Shannon’s blood alcohol content was 0.24, triple the legal limit of 0.08.
Following the arrest, Shannon enrolled in an outpatient program with an alcohol component, and she was sentenced to pay fines in addition to her three-year probation.
During the premiere episode of RHOC season 18, Shannon opened up about the charges against her.
“I take responsibility for the very stupid choice that I made that night,” she stated. “I’ve never broken a bone, I’ve never had a concussion, I’ve never been in an accident, I’ve never been arrested, I’ve never had a DUI — and I did all that in 10 seconds.”
She later spoke to her daughters about her DUI, telling them, “I’m so sorry and humiliated that I disappointed you.”
Shannon will remain on probation until November 2026.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 premieres on Thursday, July 10, at 9/8c on Bravo.
