SUPERSTAR quarterback Jalen Hurts signed a massive $255 MILLION contract in 2023.

But while the Philadelphia Eagles star is a larger than life presence on the field - he lives a very modest one off it.

He rents an apartment a 20-minute drive for Philadelphia and bought a $215,000 property for his parents

When he was first drafted in 2020, he revealed he stayed out of the real estate market.

Rather than spend his rookie contract on a large property, Hurts decided to rent an apartment in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, a 20-minute drive from downtown Philly.

It is reported to cost around $2,000 monthly.

He said in 2021: "I didn’t buy a house or anything like that when I got drafted because it was just me.

"I didn’t need this big place just for myself. I just got me a little apartment.

"You know, something smooth that’ll last me for the time being."

Hurts first entered the real estate market in Texas - buying a modest home for his parents.

It is registered under his father, Averion Sr, and Jalen is said to spend some of the offseason there.

The home is located in Humble - proving Jalen's modest upbringing.

Bought for $215,000, the home features three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a two-car garage.

Hurts is reported to have updated the interior with a more luxury decor, including a granite kitchen and stainless steel appliances.

It is 2,350 square feet and has a relatively large backyard.

Once Hurts got his mega contract he did decide to put down some roots of his own in Texas.

Located just five miles down the road from Humble, Hurts spent on a large 1950s mansion.

The 6,000 square-foot property features six large bedrooms and six bathrooms and is set on a 10-acre lot.

It also has a large swimming pool and two garages - one attached to the house and one separate that can fit four cars.

Hurts paid $6 million for the property.

He is also said to have purchased the house immediately next door for $2.68m.

It is not known if he plans to combine the lots or just wanted extra privacy.

Hurts is also reported to have bought a fourth property - this time under his mother's name - in 2023.

That is a four-bed, three-bath house in Houston that is 3,000 square feet.
