Jennifer Tilly has thrust herself into the spotlight — especially when it comes to talking about money.

Since joining season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a friend, Tilly has frequently opened up about her wealth, including revealing that she still earns a recurring paycheck from a divorce settlement with her late ex-husband (who co-created The Simpsons!).

Tilly has had several profitable endeavors throughout her career. Her early adulthood was marked by her involvement in the entertainment industry, having appeared in 1994's Bullets over Broadway and 1998's Bride of Chucky, as well as several voice acting gigs, including Family Guy.

In addition to her time on the big screen, Tilly found success in the professional poker world. Not only does she own a World Series of Poker gold bracelet (which she told Vogue is a way players measure their worth), but she has also earned a spot in the Women's Poker Hall of Fame, per The New York Times.

In late 2024, she made her Bravo debut on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a friend, introduced to the group through Sutton Stracke.

When Tilly divorced Sam Simon, the late co-creator of The Simpsons, in 1991, she also received a recurring paycheck that has proved to be extremely lucrative decades later.

According to The New York Times, Tilly received a percentage of the net proceeds of the show's earnings in their divorce settlement.

Thanks to a record-breaking run time and a number of comic books, video games and other spinoffs, the series turned into a very lucrative franchise: The Simpsons is estimated to have earned billions, per the outlet.

"No one thought the show would go on for trillions of years,” she told the publication. “Believe me, I thank Sam every single day."

One of Tilly's largest revenue drivers is her involvement in the professional poker world, which she has been surrounded by since she was a kid.

"My dad had a poker problem. He gave me [a] computer game called The World Series of Poker, and we used to play it all the time at his house," she told Vogue in December 2024. "I’ve always loved poker."

"I'm one of the few poker players who plays high stakes poker, and I'm practically the only woman that plays high stakes poker," Tilly continued, adding that she likes to put on "a show" while she does it, dressed in big diamonds and a glamorous dress.

According to The New York Times, Tilly has made roughly $1 million in career earnings.

“Listen, I play poker with billionaires, guys way above my pay grade,” Tilly told the outlet. “And I win."

During season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Tilly got candid about having "a lot of properties," per Bravo TV. So, how many homes does the TV personality actually own?

Tilly has two houses — one used as a "playhouse" to store her clothes — next door to each other in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles, per The New York Times.

According to the outlet, she also has a beach house in Malibu, as well as properties in Las Vegas, New York City and Vancouver, Canada.

"I have a property in Las Vegas because my boyfriend and I are professional poker players," she said during a confessional. "I have a beach house in Malibu but we never go there because there's a ghost there and he doesn't really like us being there. I can't blame him."

Even though she often showcases a fancy lifestyle on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Tilly told E! News that she doesn't view herself as "rich."

"But I guess I'm delusional because I do have several properties and a purse apparently that cost $33,000. But actually, it didn't. It cost $22,000," she said.

The actress went on to discuss her more modest lifestyle off-screen, saying, "My boyfriend and I live very simply in a very small, cluttered house."

She added, "Yes, there's a giant house next door, but we don't go there, so I guess we're kind of delusional."

Tilly also told the outlet that she finds it "kind of gauche to flaunt your wealth," but explained that it's just part of the show's appeal.

"This is why people love Housewives. [They think,] 'They're so rich and they can afford all the plastic surgeon that the heart could desire and designer clothes and jewels, but they're still not happy,' " she said.

Tilly continued, "That is the key to Housewives. Like, 'Wow, if I had all that wealth, I would be happy.' But these people, they're miserable. That's why people like to watch Housewives."
