Steph, who shares Samuel with boyfriend Joe McKalory, confessed the ordeal was the "scariest time in her life".

Sharing a black and white snapshot of her son's hand during his hospital visit, Steph opened up about the A&E dash.

She wrote at length on Instagram: "I just want to say a massive thank you to Whiston hospital, the staff on the high dependency unit and the staff on the ward for looking after our baby boy and @bectommo_x for helping me take him to the hospital and keeping me as calm as she could after what’s been the scariest time of my life.

"On Monday Samuel stopped breathing and had 3 scary episodes.

"I’ve felt totally helpless & powerless the past few days."

Steph went on to further detail her son's ordeal, writing: "He’s endured 2 lumber punctures which unfortunately didn’t work & had a bloody tap, a head scan, lung scan & I can’t count how many Canulas he’s had to have put in and out plus the resf."

A lumbar puncture is a medical practise whereby a thin needle is inserted into the lower back to collect and test cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)- the fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord.

Steph continued: "He’s had the full works and every antibiotic to make sure he’s ok. It’s been an absolutely horrendous & traumatic time & completely powerless watching him go through so much pain but I know they have done everything they can to make sure he’s ok.

"The whole time I have thought about those mums who have poorly babies in hospital for a long time and I honestly don’t know how you do it as I’m mentally and physically drained already my anxiety is through the roof think I’ve gone into autopilot now.

"I’ve thought about Amy so much these past few days. I’m So grateful for the NHS & how utterly amazing and caring the staff have been the nurses and doctors are hero’s and angels.

"Now to be there for him these next few days and look forward to getting him home when we can."

Steph welcomed Samuel in January of this year.

Steph's partner Joe revealed that the tot's birth was "traumatic" as he confirmed that he had become a father.

Joe said at the time: "It has been a traumatic experience but you are finally here in our arms.

"I never thought I could possibly love your mummy anymore than I already do but this is just so special and an unconditional love I cannot explain with words.

"@stephaniedavis88 I love you more than you will ever know," he concluded.

Samuel is Celebrity Big Brother star Steph's second child after her son Caben-Albi.

Caben's father is Irish model and Steph's CBB co-star, Jeremy McConnell.

Joe and Steph, who have been together since 2021, have been trying for a baby for several years, and in July 2022 tragically suffered a miscarriage.

Steph later revealed she was considering fertility treatment when they were able to conceive naturally, sharing the great news in August 2024.

She later referred to Joe as “her biggest support and her rock”, and shared her excitement and fears of being a mum again.
