Heather Gay Shares New Details on Claim Jen Shah's Husband Tried to Kiss Monica Garcia, Plus RHOSLC Star Explains Why She Stopped Taking Ozempic

Heather Gay recently caused quite a stir among Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans. The controversy wasn’t over something she did on the show. Instead, it was due to her saying in her new book that Monica Garcia alleged that Jen Shah‘s husband tried to kiss her. Now, the RHOSLC OG is clarifying while also revealing that she has quit taking Ozempic.

As fans know, Jen has been married to Sharrieff Shah since 1994. Heather reported in her new book that he tried to kiss Monica when she was trying to get back into Jen’s good graces. Both Monica and Sharrieff have denied this allegation.

Recently, Heather sat down for an interview with Page Six to discuss her new book, Good Time Girl. Of course, one of the topics that came up was the kiss claim. Heather wanted fans to know she didn’t make up this rumor. Instead, she claimed Monica told this to people.

According to Heather, “I just told it as a reporter would with not a lot of emotion in what went down because those were her words. And that’s the thing that she told multiple people, and [it was] reported back to me.”

She then emphasized, “That’s the thing that [Garcia] told multiple people, and [it was] reported back to me.”

Heather added, “I told that story like a true crime podcaster! I just took the information, all of it. I was Monica’s friend until [I discovered she was behind the Bravo fan account ‘Reality Von Tease’], you know? So I took all the information as it came in and was like, ‘Let’s look at this.’ Because the timeline was long, and it was a crazy, crazy story.”

They also asked Heather if she’d heard from Monica recently. She responded, “I haven’t heard from her at all. We had our legal thing, and I only saw her at a deposition, and that’s the last time I’ve seen her or heard from her. But that was settled, too, so that’s great.”

According to PEOPLE, Heather also recently sat down for an interview with ABC News. In the interview, she discussed her confidence and how she’s no longer taking Ozempic to lose or keep weight off. Heather said she had never realized how much her weight affected people’s perception of her.

“I never realized how much my weight affected the way people treated me. But I have loved all the versions of myself and I feel like body positivity wasn’t a lie for me. It changed my life. It allowed me to be on TV, it gave me this chance,” Heather said.

The RHOSLC star went on, “I look at those pictures of myself and those episodes and think, I love that girl. That girl was braver and stronger and had more confidence being overweight than I did after taking medication.”

Regarding taking Ozempic, she admitted that she “will [take it] if I need to.” Heather continued, “I’ve apologized for my body my entire life… and I’d rather just have body neutrality. I love myself heavy. I love myself now. It’s a journey and that changed the way I saw who I was.”

Heather first admitted to taking Ozempic last November in an interview.

Fans can buy Heather’s Good Time Girl wherever books are sold, and they can also watch RHOSLC on Wednesday nights.
