When Tamra Judge announced her return to The Real Housewives of Orange County, the Bravo kingdom collapsed. Many fans are anxious to watch Tamra reclaim her orange and take the crown of power away from Heather Dubrow, who was arguably unchallenged throughout season 16.
Tamra and Heather, who were once close, took a hit in their alliance when Tamra accused Heather of self-producing. Then, in what seemed to be a calculated move, Heather allegedly fed information to Andy Cohen to block Tamra’s comeback.
On the July 20 episode of Tamra’s Two T’s In A Pod podcast, the alum revealed Heather’s reaction to the recent news. According to Tamra, Heather was the first castmate to contact her after learning of her return.
“Of course [she was],” said co-host Teddi Mellencamp with a laugh. “Do you think that it was out of… precaution, or because she’s really excited for you?”
“Well, this is the thing, she reached out to me to just say like ‘oh it’s about time’ you know or something like that, she texted me,” shared Tamra, via Heavy. She couldn’t respond to Heather’s text, however, because Bravo hadn’t announced the news publicly.
“I had to stay off social media because if anybody wrote to me or DMed me, and goes ‘congratulations,’ I’ll do like thumbs up, heart, you know what I mean? I can’t help myself. I have like truth serum running through my veins,” said Tamra. “So I’m like I have to get off social media because someone will say something and I’ll blow it.”
The 54-year-old continued, “So I didn’t respond and when Jill [Zarin] announced it and then it was out, I think Andy [Cohen] told me ‘yeah they confirmed it to the cast.’ So then I responded to her. I said ‘thank you so much’ and that’s that.”
She also teased some future drama with Shannon Beador, her former castmate and BFF, who allegedly ghosted Tamra after the 2020 firing.
“[I’m] definitely going to have to have a deep, hard conversation with Shannon, which is probably going to be emotional,” said Tamra, via Heavy.
“It’s going to be hard, it’s going to be heated but I’m hoping at the end of the day that we can resolve what happened in the past because we were such great friends for so many years.”
Tamra revealed, “[Shannon] texted me yesterday saying good luck on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ so, you know, I miss the friendship. I don’t like the stuff that went on. I need answers, like I need answers to be able to get close to her again.”
Will Shannon and Tamra finally reconcile? Many fans are praying for the alliance, hoping it’ll shake up the dynamics of last season, which plagued the ratings and placed Heather in a constant seat of power.
