SUMMER House fans are gushing over Hannah Berner's debut Netflix special, We Ride at Dawn.
The reality star released her first stand-up special on July 9, leaving fans comparing her to her comedian husband Des Bishop.
Netflix shared a snippet of 32-year-old Hannah's special on Instagram, leading to a flood of positive comments from fans.
In the clip, the star joked about Disney princes, claiming they're all "the worst."
"I have really bad taste in men," she began.
"But it was never my fault. And it was never their fault. It was Disney's fault. Disney teaches you to be attracted to the douchiest, most narcissistic guys. It's never the guy who comes in on a horse with the stupid haircut."
She then prompted her audience to shout out various princes, and gave her reasoning as to why they were no good.
Hannah began with Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid, joking, "Prince Eric wanted to f**k a fish."
She then assessed Aladdin, claiming, "Aladdin was hot."
The former Summer House star noted, however, that he had an "illegal pet monkey," and "lied" to Jasmin about showing her the world.
Hannah jokingly compared Aladdin to Tom Sandoval of Vanderpump Rules fame.
The audience erupted into a fit of laughter, and those in the comments seemed to find the bit just as funny.
"Loved your special! My bf even watched with me and was laughing out loud. Giggling isn't just for the ladies!! woot woot so happy for you," one fan gushed.
"She's sooo freakin funny. Love her and loved the special. Can't wait for another to drop. Until then, We Ride at Dawn!!," a second commented.
One fan wrote that Hannah is "as funny as Amy Schumer," while another said she's "even funnier" than her husband Des, 48.
Hannah and Des met in July 2020, while she was filming Season Five of Summer House.
They got engaged after six months of dating and tied the knot two years later in 2022.
COMEDY CONTROVERSY
Hannah's comedy has been widely scrutinized in the past, as noted by ScreenRant.
The TV alum has been accused of stealing jokes from big social media accounts and other comics.
In May 2021, in a thread on Reddit, one fan shared a thread accusing Hannah of plagiarizing a joke she shared on social media.
"Did anyone catch a post Hannah put on IG last night that was along the lines of 'there are 2 type of people in this world: those who handle sadness by (i honestly forgot what the first type was) and those who watch murder documentaries and [eat] their weight in Mexican food," the critical commenter asked.
"I know we know this already, but she is so unoriginal and that is absolutely stolen from another account! But posts this stuff like she comes up with it on her own. Then I noticed today it was deleted."
"The guys on Crappens said she lifted a meme on the tell-all straight from their Insta," another fan commented, referencing something Hannah shared during a Bravo special.
"I feel like she could be originally funny if she tried. I don't get the copycat stuff," another fan wrote.
In February of that year, writer Sophie Ross shared a collection of jokes found on social media that Hannah repurposed as her own on X, formerly Twitter.
The journalist called it "So lazy. So lame."
Hannah did not address the backlash.
HANNAH'S RELATIONSHIP
Hannah's time on Summer House was full of controversy.
She butted heads with many of her castmates, including Kyle Cooke, Carl Radke, and other stars.
She quit after Season Five and did not appear on Winter House.
Hannah also quit Bravo's Chat Room, a watch-and-talk show featuring several other Bravo stars breaking down episodes together.
In July 2021, she announced her departure in an Instagram post.
"Hello my loves, I will not be returning to host Chat Room this season. It was a dream to have to opportunity to be on the first all female talk show on Bravo and I'm so proud of the 42 episodes we filmed," she wrote.
"Because I'm not going back to Summer House, it didn't make sense for me to return, as this is now a chapter in my life that is coming to a close. I want to thank Bravo for believing in me, and my co-hosts Giselle [Bryant] and Porsha [Williams] for being so f**king amazing to work and collaborate with week to week."
Hannah concluded, "You guys inspire me more than you know and I cannot wait to continue watching and cheering on as a fan."
The TV personality has been focusing on her comedy career since leaving Bravo.
She is currently touring across North America and Europe.
