GOOD Morning Britain star Alex Beresford has revealed his wife Imogen McKay has given birth to their first child together.
The broadcaster, 44, shared the happy news on Instagram this morning as well as the first pictures of the adorable newborn, who they have named Camille.
He wrote: "After what felt like forever she’s finally here!
"Camille Beresford arrived safely earlier this week and already has us wrapped around her little finger, already knows what she wants, and we both scream when the human milk machine powers down for a rare break."
Alex called Imogen "amazing" and said she was doing "incredibly" well, before telling fans she had taken to the early days of pregnancy like "a duck to water".
He called himself "Chief Nappy Officer" and credited his son Cruz, 14, with being a protective big brother.
He added: "I really want to shout out the incredible team of midwives and doctors at Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Hospital, especially Faisa who brought our little angel into this world with such calm and care!
"The NHS is quite simply amazing! Over the last 9 months I saw staff from all over the world constantly going the extra mile. I can’t thank you enough for keeping mum and baby safe xxxx."
Alex first became a father during his marriage to Natalia Natkaniec. The former couple split at the end of 2019, with Natalia and Cruz leaving the family home just weeks before the Covid-19 lockdown.
Imogen and Alex started dating in August 2020, with Australian native Imogen having no idea who he was.
She admitted having never seen Alex on television before meeting him, and refrained from looking him up beforehand as she wanted to find out for herself what he was like.
The GMB host later whisked her her off to Majorca for a New Year's Day proposal in 2022.
Sharing details of his romantic proposal, Alex told HELLO! magazine: "I took Imogen for a walk along the beach.
"The weather was sunny and warm, and the sea was crystal clear. 'This is it,' I thought. Imogen's not one for taking photos, but as I persuaded her to pose for a picture overlooking the sea, I kneeled down to take the engagement ring I'd hidden inside my rucksack.
"When she turned around, I was on one knee, and asked her the biggest question of my life – and she said yes. It was an amazing moment."
The couple later said their vows on the Spanish island in front of 100 family and friends that October, saying their vows at sunset on the clifftop Son Marroig estate.
They now live in Bristol together.
