Joan Vassos turned 62 on January 11, but fiancé Chock Chapple didn’t appear to be by her side for the celebrations. The Golden Bachelorette star shared photos from her birthday on Instagram and gushed over her “favorite company” who spent the day with her.

However, Chapple was noticeably missing from the photo dump, leading to some fan concern about his whereabouts and what it means for the pair’s relationship.

“Had so much fun celebrating the 33rd anniversary of my 29th birthday with my kids and grandkids… my favorite company in the world!” Vassos captioned her post, along with several family photos. “Thank you to my mother in law for making my favorite butter cake and thank you @dunkin and @bluecrabcupcakes for the most beautiful birthday cake I’ve ever had!!!”

Although Chapple was not in the pictures, he popped into the comments section to show his fiancée some support by posting a red heart emoji. While many fans sent Vassos well wishes and commented about how lovely her celebrations looked, some others pointed out Chapple’s absence.

“Where is Chock?” one person wrote. Another added, “Where was Chock on your birthday?”

Prior to her birthday, Vassos revealed that she had spent New Year’s Eve in Kansas with Chapple and documented a subsequent trip to Washington D.C. that he was absent from. “Had the best time starting the new year in Kansas with @chockchapple! Headed back to see my kids and grandkids but will miss my new friends in Wichita,” the reality star wrote on Instagram on January 8.

Still, despite some fears for the state of Vassos and Chapple’s relationship amid their long-distance love, the insurance executive publicly sent love to his woman on her birthday. “To the love of my life, Happy Birthday! I love you very much!! Joan, you make my life complete,” he gushed. “Here’s to another trip around the sun!!! NYC here we come. I’m one lucky guy!!! A KS guy got real lucky with this one. Can I have my socks back?”

The couple has been on the hunt for an apartment in New York City where they can spend time together when they want to get away. However, neither of them has plans to permanently move away from their families.

“Today I feel so loved and so grateful!” Vassos wrote in the comments section of Chapple’s post. “We went on this crazy journey and we emerged as a couple in love and ready to build a life together. Thank you for this beautiful montage of pics from these last few months together!”
