A contestant on The Golden Bachelorette has been slammed after he said he would prefer to have a cast of younger women if he ever landed his own show.
Pascal Ibgui, 69, told Us Weekly that production would have to 'lower the age' requirement for contestants if he ever became The Golden Bachelor.
'They will have to lower the age,' Pascal told the outlet at a taping of the show's Men Tell All episode.
'The age [has] got to be lower. Yes, I'm old, but I don't go out with a 72-year-old woman,' he said.
Pascal was vying for the heart of Joan Vassos, 61, before self-eliminating after landing in her top three.

When explaining why he would prefer a cast of younger contestants, he said: 'When you're in your 20s like Joey [Graziadei] and Kelsey [Anderson] … you don't have a pot to pee in,' he said.
'You don't have a mortgage, you don't have a home, you rent, you don't have a car, you take Uber, you are in between jobs, you're trying to find an identity,' they said.
In contrast, Golden contestants are more settled and don't have the ability to relocate for a new relationship.
'When you're my age, I have my business, I have my home, I have my real estate, I have my friends, I have my kids, I have my connection to my health club, to my restaurant. I'm involved in a lot of charity,' he said.
'So, for me to pack up. My stuff and move [somewhere else] is not going to happen. … I want to wake up with somebody in the morning. I want to go to bed with somebody. I want to be able to walk down the street with her and go get coffee in the morning.'
Pascal is currently open to potentially becoming the next lead.
'I’m semi-retired, so I have a lot of time. I don’t have to be at work, but I want how much involvement there is into it,' he said.
Following the interview, readers blasted Pascal in the comments section of Us Weekly's Instagram post about the article.

'Well that defeats the whole idea of this being a show for people 60+,' another wrote.
'That's not what the audience wants, sir,' another posted.

'I just don't think I could get to the place that you want me to be,' Pascal told Joan at dinner.
'I don't want a broken heart at the end of this. If you're not ready, it's one thing. If you are never going to be ready, that's a different thing,' she inquired.
Pascal said he needed that 'spark' and that he just didn't have it with her.
'I just think right now I'm what we call damaged goods,' Pascal said. 'I thought I could move forward.'
'Your heart's just not ready,' Joan said. 'I'm not ready,' Pascal added.
