Before Lindsay Hubbard announced her pregnancy in July 2024, she found a meaningful way to reveal the news to her Summer House castmates. Now, thanks to the premiere of Season 9, we're finding out how exactly they heard the news — and getting a behind-the-scenes look into the moments leading up to Lindsay's reveal.
One of the last people to arrive at the house during the February 12 episode, Lindsay gave hugs to her fellow cast members as West Wilson went and grabbed her luggage. When Gabby Prescod asked if she could pour anyone a glass of rosé, Lindsay said yes … and very slyly faked a sip (the camera captured her sneaky expression as she pressed the glass to her lips).
Later, she chatted with Gabby — seemingly the only cast member to know she was pregnant — in her room while trying to figure out an outfit for the big reveal.
“I’m nervous as f—k,” she said before beginning to plot how she'd tell everyone. “Before dinner you should be like, ‘Everyone let’s meet in the living room so that we can do a cheers to summer,'" she told Gabby.
“Whatever you want to do to, like, get this the way you want to get it done," Gabby replied before telling her friend that she needed to most importantly enjoy sharing the news.
Lindsay agreed, declaring, “This is the biggest announcement of my entire life."
And with that, she set her plan into action.

When Gabby started giving the speech, 18-weeks-pregnant Lindsay stood up to say something, too.
“I just wanted to say a couple of words given that it’s the first night … we go through a lot, but we go through it together,” she said as everyone looked on with wide eyes. “My personal journey has been nothing short of all over the place,” she added before launching into a timeline of past relationships, starting from Season 1 of the show.
The group seemed perplexed. “Eight years ago?! Oh, we are going way back," joked Kyle Cooke in a confessional. "Buckle up people. We’ve got a lot of ground to cover.”
After making it through those eight years — up to the end of her engagement with Carl Radke — everyone thought Lindsay was caught up … but there was still more to say.
“The biggest lesson that I have learned is that the universe has its own plan, and the universe and my plan …" she said as Gabby held up an ultrasound image and everyone started to scream. “I’m pregnant.”
How did the Summer House cast react to Lindsay Hubbard's announcement?
Naturally, most of the cast was thrilled to hear Lindsay's news.
“Wait, I feel like I just became an aunt,” said Paige DeSorbo as Amanda Batula burst into happy tears and everyone went in for a hug.
The only person who didn’t seem thrilled? Jesse Solomon, who had to be reminded by West to smile.
“It’s just weird. There’s a pregnant lady here,” Jesse said in a confessional. “I’m concerned about how Carl’s gonna feel about Lindsay being pregnant. Just yesterday we were in this house and Carl and Lindsay were talking about when they were gonna have their baby. I want them to be friends and have a good summer together, but I’m not sure that’s possible.”
Paige also had some separate thoughts on the matter.
"You know how I know I’m not ready for kids? Because right when she said she was pregnant I had a thought where I was like, ‘Thank god I’m not,'" she explained.
