Days ahead of the Next Gen NYC premiere, Gia Giudice revealed her spat with Riley Burruss is a bigger deal than Teresa Giudice‘s dorter expected.
The Waking Up In The Morning singer told US Magazine that she was caught off guard by how upset Riley was when Gia compared their mothers’ shows.
RHOA ≠ RHONJ:
“I didn’t think it was that deep,” began Gia.
Without giving too much ahead of their show’s premiere, Gia voiced her frustration with her relationship with Riley. “I don’t know how to please her, I guess.”
Never forget, Gia compared the Real Housewives of New Jersey to the Real Housewives of Atlanta. “I said to [Riley] once, ‘I feel Atlanta and Jersey give the same energy.’”
“I literally was just trying to break bread, make some conversation. All I was saying was, obviously, every Housewives franchise has its own niche. But, at the end of the day, they also have the same common denominator. They’re friend groups with drama.”
Gia clarified that she “wasn’t trying to say anything offensive at all” with the comparison.
“I really was just like, our moms are on reality TV,” she continued. “They’re both on Bravo. I don’t know, she didn’t really like it, I guess. She got really offended by that. It was also me trying to bond over something,” Gia noted. “Both of our moms are on Housewives. We’re on Housewives. She didn’t like it.”
Riley hasn’t commented on the matter.
Next Gen NYC premieres June 3rd on Bravo TV.
