Fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey have long found the kids on the show to be endearing. However, among them, Gia Giudice has become a fan favorite, with many saying she could someday join the show as a housewife. Now, the RHONJ star is opening up about becoming an influencer, explaining why she hasn’t started law school, and discussing how privacy matters more to her than fame does
Fans will recall that Gia graduated with her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice. Of course, she had plans to attend law school, partially because of her father’s journey with the legal system and his immigration status following his stint in prison. However, she recently put those plans on hold.
Recently, Gia was a guest on Teresa Giudice‘s Turning the Tables podcast during which Gia dished on her upcoming new reality show – Making It In Manhattan.
“It was a super fun show to film and I can’t wait for you guys to see it,” teased Gia as she also shared that her mom Teresa will be making appearances on the show.
“I was on a few episodes with Gia so I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see it too,” added Teresa.
” It was weird. It was like my mom was coming on my show rather than me being on Housewives so the rules were reversed a little bit,” said Gia.
The mother-and-daughter duo then got right down to business as Teresa asked Gia to explain why she was not in law school.
According to Gia, “So, right now, I’m obviously currently not enrolled in law school. I love the law. Law will always be my passion,. My major in college was criminal justice, my minor was sociology. That’s what I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in, and I truly do love law.”
She then says, “Once I graduated college, my influencing career and just platform in general honestly just really escalated and a lot of business deals, brand partnerships, and just like the influencer world just started picking up, and it’s honestly been one of the best things that has happened to me. I have so much fun with what I do. I work everyday, just like anybody else.”
Gia then says that she supports herself despite living at home with Teresa.
Gia then explains more about pausing her law school plans. She says, “I don’t know. I just kind of wanted to put a pause on it, and to be honest, it was really challenging for me. The LSATs were incredibly challenging. I put my heart and soul into them, and I don’t even know the number of hours I spent on tutoring, but I was tutoring for about a year and a half for my LSATs.”
She then says that she took the LSAT three times and that her scores improved, but the lure of her influencing career was calling her.
Gia adds, “When you’re studying for the LSATs, that is literally your full-time job. You cannot do anything else while studying for your LSATs. So, it really does take over, and I don’t think I was ready to put a pause on the opportunities that were coming into my life.”
She then says it’s not out of the question in the future. According to Gia, “Law school will always be there. It’s always gonna be an opportunity that’s open to me. So, I decided to pause on that for a minute. I am in my twenties. I kind of just wanted to live out this era of my life and see where this takes me.”
Teresa then calls this a full circle moment because she used to take Gia on acting auditions and put her in acting classes early on.
Gia also discussed privacy and how important it is. This part of the conversation came from a fan question. She responds, “So, I don’t really mind to share a lot of my life with you guys. I’m pretty open with it. I have nothing to hide. I’m honestly an open book, but just certain things like if I do something with my family or Christian that I just want to keep to myself, I just won’t really post, or I won’t show what I’m doing. But for the most part, I’m pretty open with whatever I do.”
She adds, “I really honestly want you guys to know everything. I don’t want you ever to think I’m hiding anything and I don’t really have anything to hide unless I want to go on a hiatus for the weekend or something.”
Teresa also shared in the discussion that, despite it being a while away, she’s already deciding what she should be called when she’s finally a grandmother. During this part of the interview, they also talked about family, where Teresa got her cooking skills from, and memories of her parents. They also joked about Teresa babysitting her future grandkids.
Of course, Gia and Teresa also teased their upcoming TikTok lives and their lipstick collaboration. Not only that, they also shared their last disagreement, which was when Gia left the cap off of the body wash bottle, and it caused a mishap for Teresa.
All in all, seeing Teresa and her oldest daughter together online was a treat. The internet seems to have loved this interview, and I really want more out of this pair. This is despite the backlash they have received for selling used handbags on TikTok and fumbling around with the camera.
