Next Gen NYC has been generating considerable buzz now that several episodes have aired. However, it seems the production team behind the show had a different cast in mind that didn’t pan out. Now, Georgia McCann is speaking out about Charlie Zakkour and his feelings about being on the cast with the children of Housewives stars.
For context, a report surfaced recently that stated that half the original Next Gen NYC cast dropped out of the series after producers added the likes of Gia Giudice and Ariana Biermann. The report even included images of the original cast members as well as their names.
Georgia was recently on SiriusXM’s Reality Checked podcast, where she confirmed the report. The reality star said, “Other people were supposed to be on this cast and actually like dropped out because the Housewives kids were gonna be on it.”
She then dished on Charlie being upset about the Real Housewives kids joining the series.
“I know firsthand, I can’t speak for Ava and Emira because I don’t know if I’ve really talked to them about this, but I know Charlie was definitely pressed about it,” Georgia said. “I think he felt like very blindsided by the additions, and like, blah, blah, blah, and like honestly, he was not saying the nicest things about the Housewives kids prior to meeting them.”
When asked what Charlie had said about the cast changes, Georgia said, “He’s like, ‘I don’t wanna be on a flyer with them.’ Like, they’re tacky, blah, blah, blah. I don’t think he had it out for anyone in particular.”
Regarding Charlie being “blindsided,” the initial report also stated that the new cast members were added to the show behind the backs of the original Next Gen NYC stars, prompting them to quit the Bravo series. They filmed the show during the summer of 2024, and it was originally called Making It in Manhattan.
Fans can watch Next Gen NYC on Tuesday nights on Bravo.
