Netflix's latest documentary takes fans behind the scenes with some of the NFL's top receivers from the 2023 season, including San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle.
Among the highlights is a memorable and expensive stunt by Kittle during San Francisco's road to Super Bowl LVIII.
During his 30th birthday game against the Dallas Cowboys, Kittle delivered a standout performance with four catches and three touchdowns. However, it was his post-touchdown celebration that drew significant attention. Kittle lifted his jersey to reveal a t-shirt with the provocative message: "F*** Dallas."
Kittle had the shirts made for all the 49ers tight ends, but only he dared to wear it during the game. His bold move surprised some teammates.
"George Kittle's rude," 49ers star Deebo Samuel said.
Despite the financial repercussions, Kittle expressed no regrets in the Netflix documentary, stating that the fine was worth the message.
"It was $15,000 and I don't regret it one bit. Not one bit. And I might do it again if given the opportunity," he said.
The Cowboys, already reeling from a 42-10 loss, felt the sting of Kittle's actions even more acutely. The game had been a hoped-for redemption opportunity for Dallas after being ousted from the playoffs by the 49ers the previous season.
Post-game, Cowboys star Micah Parsons responded to Kittle's antics with a warning, implying that retribution could be forthcoming.
"George Kittle had three touchdowns on us and he posted this thing to IG," Parsons said. "He said 'F Dallas.' I just feel like he's making it way more personal than it had to be. Kittle is my guy, but Imma say this: laugh now, cry later."
