Gaston's Take on the Taylor & Austen Hookup Drama: Unveiling Truths and Unraveling Tensions! - lulu
Gaston Rojas is standing by his girlfriend, Taylor Ann Green, as she continues to face backlash over her past hookup with Austen Kroll.
In the above preview of Season 10, Episode 7 of Southern Charm (set to air Jan. 23), Gaston comforts Taylor after she had an uncomfortable conversation with Salley Carson at the newcomer's housewarming. During the chat at the party, the two agreed to try to be civil with each other, but Salley surprised Taylor when she mentioned that the other women in the group told her they're hesitant to bring Taylor back into the fold.
"I've wronged one person who knows these people and I feel like they're mad at me 'cause of all this situation," Taylor tells her boyfriend, referring to her fractured friendship with Olivia Flowers after the kiss with Austen came to light. "It kind of is a s--tty feeling."
Taylor adds that Salley bringing up the other ladies' lack of trust in her makes her feel like Salley is "trying to reinforce their opinions of me."
And while Taylor seems intent on repairing her friendships with the group, Gaston encourages her to let it go.
"Listen, at the end of the day, you apologized, right? So, the ball is in their court," he says. "If they don't want to forgive you, that's on them. You don't need to go to there, like roll over and pet my belly."
Why don't Taylor Ann Green and Salley Carson get along?
Salley may be a newcomer to the Southern Charm cast, but since Charleston is a small town, she's crossed paths with a few of the cast members and their friends, including Gaston.
During a conversation with Madison LeCroy and Paige DeSorbo, Salley discussed her history with Gaston, revealing that she dated the businessman — and those dates might have "overlapped" with Taylor's. And though the romance was short-lived, it was serious enough that they said "I love you" to each other.
However, Gaston told Taylor that he wasn't serious with Salley, who is currently dating another one of Taylor's exes, Andrew.
Then, there's the fact that Salley once hooked up with Taylor's other ex, Shep Rose. Salley told Paige and Madison that after the fling with Shep, Taylor began spreading rumors about her, including that she was a "high-end" escort.

As for the other women being weary of Taylor, that stems from the drama surrounding her past hookup with Austen.
"All of us have kept it cordial with her, but because of what Taylor and Austen did behind Olivia's back, I'm not going to just be like, 'Hey girl, let's go hang out,'" Venita Aspen explained in the preview. "Like, no. Earn my trust back. You don't just get it because you're a part of this group."
Where do Olivia Flowers and Taylor Ann Green stand today?
The good news is, Olivia herself recently said that she has moved on from the drama involving Austen and Taylor. In December, she told Us Weekly, "I think between the time that’s passed and everything that’s transpired, we both are on the same page... If the time comes to circle back, we will."
