Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 has finally premiered, but with Gary King still on the series and actively working to make things worse for everyone on the crew, it may easily be a flop. The Below Deck franchise has become one of the most successful in Bravo history, and Below Deck Sailing Yacht has been one of the most highly-anticipated shows in ages. With the series returning after a yearlong hiatus, viewers were excited to see the drama between the yachties unfold in the new season. Even after allegations against Gary gave some pause, excitement was in the air.
Gary’s behavior on and off Parsifal III has been difficult for many to wrap their minds around. Branded as a playboy from early on in the series, Gary’s always been controversial in his behavior toward women regardless of who they are and what they want, but the allegations that came out about him after Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 were truly shocking. Accused of sexual misconduct with a crew member from the Below Deck franchise makeup team, Gary has vehemently denied the allegations, but they’ve colored the way he’s been perceived as viewers have waited for the new season.

Gary and Daisy’s tension came to a head when she followed him into his cabin to try and get him to say anything about what was going on between them. While many hope the damage is temporary, it’s possible the pair won’t find common ground.
Gary Isn’t Sharing Everything On Below Deck Sailing Yacht
He’s Not Talking About The Allegations
Although Gary may not have been aware of the allegations during the premiere episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, it’s clear that he won’t be broaching the subject matter onscreen. While this was something huge happening in Gary’s life while the show was filming, it seems likely that he won’t be addressing it on Below Deck Sailing Yacht at all leaving a huge chunk of his life at the door rather than opening up like many do on reality TV. While the subject was sensitive, Gary keeping things to himself is an issue.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht Will Flop Because Of Gary King
He’s Not Being Authentic & Open
While Gary isn’t contractually obligated to talk about his personal life on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, the fact that he seems to be refusing to open up about something so major is difficult. On one hand, viewers will want to know what he has to say for himself on the matter, and on the other, Gary may not want to bring public attention to the scandal. Though he doesn’t have to be open about it, Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 viewers aren’t happy about the idea that he’s not being authentic to the state of his life.
