Garcelle Beauvais clapped back at those saying she’s “changed” ahead of the conclusion of the three-part Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion on Tuesday, which saw her storming off and slamming her co-stars as “a**holes.”
As she also thanked fans for the support she’d received over the course of her five seasons with the show, Garcelle, 58, spoke of setting boundaries and putting herself first as viewers called out Sutton Stracke, 53, for failing to have her back on season 14.
“YOU CHANGED,” read Garcelle’s April 14 message.
“No. I healed. I learned. I grew. I set boundaries. I stopped settling. I put myself first,” she shared in a response, along with a praying emoji and a heart emoji.
In the comments, many of Garcelle’s fans and followers expressed understanding of her decision to walk away from the cast.
“And you have every right to do so……You will be missed Garcelle Beauvais but you deserve so much better,” one person shared.
“The way you removed yourself was so powerful. Left them speechless,” wrote another.
Others applauded Garcelle as a “class act” and the “ultimate professional,” as Sutton was shaded for her reaction to Garcelle’s walk-off.
“Sutton’s fear of others was more powerful than her friendship with you,” one person suspected.
“[Sutton] never deserved your friendship, sisterhood, or loyalty … you deserve better!” another agreed.
Garcelle also shared a statement on Threads amid the conclusion of RHOBH season 14, which featured several praying emojis, a heart emoji, and a message that said, “Thanks guys.”
Again, viewers offered their support.
“Garcelle you are so strong– you have been alone in that group from day one. The lack of solidarity and empathy on that couch was disgusting to witness,” someone stated.
“We love you and support the actions you need to take to preserve your peace,” shared another. Someone else said they were “disgusted by [Sutton’s] reaction to Garcelle leaving.”
Since Garcelle confirmed she would not be returning for season 15, rumors have swirled in regard to her falling out with Sutton.
“Garcelle hasn’t spoken to any of the [cast] much since leaving,” an insider told The U.S. Sun. “She felt she deserved a lot better from those ladies, and her walking away is in large part due to how she was treated by them.”
“She is done. She doesn’t talk to any of them. Even Sutton wasn’t as real of a friendship as she thought it was; she’s let down,” the source added.
