After a dramatic exit from the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Garcelle Beauvais is making it clear she’s done with more than just the cameras. According to her former co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff, Beauvais’ decision to leave the show may have had less to do with Bravo and more to do with feeling blindsided by her longtime friend Sutton Stracke.
The season 14 reunion proved to be the breaking point, with Beauvais not only storming off set but also unfollowing all of her former castmates on social media. From behind-the-scenes fallout to hints of betrayal, the tension between Beauvais and Stracke is making headlines—and casting a long shadow over the future of RHOBH.
Crystal Kung Minkoff Says Stracke’s Silence Was the Final Straw for Beauvais
During an appearance on “The Viall Files” podcast, Minkoff opened up about what she believes really pushed Beauvais to walk away from the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Minkoff, who still keeps in touch with Beauvais, revealed they spoke on the day of her exit announcement. While they didn’t dive into the details, Minkoff said she saw the signs clearly.
“From what I saw, she felt quite betrayed by Sutton,” Minkoff explained, adding that Beauvais had consistently supported Stracke—even when it may not have been deserved. “Garcelle has rode for Sutton for so long. … Sometimes it wasn’t warranted.”
According to Minkoff, the issue came to a head during the reunion when Beauvais implied that Dorit Kemsley’s husband, PK Kemsley, may have been involved in the home invasion at their residence. While the topic drew strong reactions from other cast members, Stracke stayed quiet—something Minkoff believes hit Beauvais hard.
“You need someone to help you,” she said, describing the stress of reunion tapings. “It’s just standing in front of a firing squad … and then everyone comes for you.” With no one stepping up to defend her, Beauvais likely felt abandoned, especially by the friend whose behavior she had defended for years.
Garcelle Beauvais Goes Radio Silent With Her Former RHOBH Co-Stars
The tension didn’t end there after the reunion wrapped on February 28. A source told Parade magazine that Beauvais was “livid,” stormed off set, and refused to take a group photo with the cast. Since then, she has unfollowed nearly all of her co-stars on Instagram—including Stracke, Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, and Bozoma Saint John. Interestingly, she still follows “friends” of the show, Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly.
On the flip side, Stracke, Richards, Kemsley, and Saint John still follow Beauvais, while Erika Jayne does not.
Minkoff also hinted at why Stracke may have chosen not to speak up. “She wants to be really close with Kyle [Richards], and she wants Kyle’s approval,” she claimed, suggesting that Stracke’s loyalties may have shifted behind the scenes. Beauvais, who expected support, may have seen this silence as the ultimate betrayal.
While Bravo fans await word on who will join the season 15 cast, Beauvais’ departure marks a major shift. For now, she seems content putting the drama behind her—and unfollowing it, too.
