Gabby Prescod Addresses Her Future on Summer House, Reacts to Paige’s Exit & Shares What Surprised Her About the Reunion, Plus If She Would Do RHONY

There has been a lot of Summer House news lately. This includes both confirmed exits from the show and uncertainty surrounding its future. Now, Gabby Prescod is not only reacting to it, but also discussing what she knows about casting, revealing if she was surprised by Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover breaking up, and more.

Regarding the cast exits, it has been confirmed that both Paige and Lexi Wood will not be on the show moving forward. Lexi was a newbie, whereas Paige had been on the series since 2019. Gabby joined the series in 2023.

Gabby recently sat down for an interview on the Please See Below with Brynn Whitfield podcast. One of the most significant topics she discussed was whether she would return for season 10. She said she didn’t and explained, “We literally, and I don’t think people get this, but like we don’t get told until like three, two weeks out.”

Gabby continued, “It’s kind of like, how are we not doing that? Because again, for us, too, it’s like our summer. So like, yeah, we want to know if we’re doing it or not doing it, so then we can like, yeah, plan some stuff.” The conversation then pivoted to the reunion, and Brynn asked Gabby what surprised her.”

She revealed, “I was surprised about Paige talking about how much she struggled this summer, because like, I didn’t watch it back, and I didn’t really see it either. But I also wasn’t like, like when she slept in my room that night, I wasn’t there that weekend.”

Gabby added, “So like, it’s like hard to see or to understand when you’re like not seeing it first hand. And then you’re like, obviously, I didn’t watch it back. So I was surprised to see that.” This line of conversation then influenced Brynn to ask about Paige and Craig’s breakup and if she was surprised by it.

She responded, “Kind of and kind of not.” Gabby went on, “When Craig comes, he usually comes at least one weekend over the summer. But like, they seemed fine to me. So, and I guess like a lot can change between July and like November, which is like, I guess, is the span of when this was happening. I was also surprised when Carl and Lindsay broke up.”

The podcast took a turn as Brynn informed Gabby while they were recording that Paige was leaving the show. The Summer House star reacted by saying, “That is wild. You know what, good for her.”

They then discussed people who stay on reality televsion too long and Gabby said, “It might be like a comfort thing too for some people being like, this is like what I know and this is like, I know I can do this well, so this is something that I’m going to stick with.”

When asked why she believes Paige is leaving, she replied, “I think that she’s probably like, I have so much else going on that like, and again, you’re giving up your whole summer. If you’ve been doing this for as long as the OGs, and like she has been doing it, I would be like, ‘I want a summer to myself, where I’m not working.'”

Regarding who she thinks will return to the series, Gabby explained, “I mean, at this point, I don’t even know. And like, if Lindsay is going to take a step back, or I don’t even know what that would look like, but I doubt that she would come out every single weekend.”

Finally, Brynn, who recently announced her departure, asked Gabby if she would do The Real Housewives of New York. According to her, “I don’t know. I feel like it’s such a different format. And I think I’m like a little PTSD, because the way that our format is, is that we film 24/7 nonstop for three days straight. And then we also pick up in the city on Wednesdays and Thursdays.”

She continued, “So that’s a lot of time, and it’s also just a lot of people in your nooks and crannies, so to speak. Because there’s cameras in our bedrooms, there are mics in our headboards.” Brynn then weighed in and said she feels Housewives would be easier for Gabby than Summer House
