Former Teammate Elias Pettersson Takes Subtle Jab At New York Rangers Star Forward J.T. Miller

JT Miller and Elias Pettersson's drama would inflame the situation in Vancouver, causing a trade. After all is said and done, we thought both of them would bury the hatchet considering the fact that Miller is a New York Ranger. Elias Pettersson has other plans, as he took a jab at his former teammate in the media.JT Miller and Elias Pettersson

There's nothing colder than a call-out, but using the media to throw subtle jabs at your former teammates is a new low.
For Elias Pettersson, he's willing to be that petty as he continues to stoke the fires of outrage and revenge.
The former 1st-round draft pick of the Canucks has quite a bit to say about last season, and while he didn't mention JT Miller, it's obvious who his latest comment is directed towards.

It appears the next time the Canucks head to MSG, it's a revenge game for Petey.
"I know what I'm capable of," the 26 year old told Ekholm. "Actually, I haven't thought about it, but for myself it's revenge. I'm not happy with last season."

"I'm learning from what happened last year to be a more mature player going into [this season]," Pettersson said.

Grudge Match on MSG Ice?

In order to prepare for his latest grudge match against his former teammate, Miller, he's hit the weights religiously.
"I've put on some [muscle]," Pettersson (6-foot-2, 176 pounds) said. "It's always about building your base strength, to get quicker on the ice. To gain a few pounds, get stronger in general, that's always the goal. But for me it's a bonus to gain a few pounds."

It appears that Pettersson is done acting like a pushover on and off the ice, as the now secretly married (unconfirmed) center will be giving the Rangers and Miller a run for their money the next time they meet up.
