The “Southern Charm” reunion will feature the return of a former cast member. On February 7, Bravo released the season 19 reunion seating chart and fans were stunned to see former cast member Jarrett “JT” Thomas was listed as an attendee.
In November, Thomas uddenly announced his exit from the show weeks before the season 10 premiere. He did not give a reason for his departure, but in a rogue Instagram post, he announced his resignation from the show before completing all of his confessionals for the season.
“I informed Bravo that I will not be participating in the 2-3 remaining green room interviews remaining before [season 10] airs,” Thomas wrote in his message. “I no longer wish to participate any ways moving forward with the TV show.”
Thomas added that he would “leave it at that for now” while he worked on the “next steps to recover both physically and mentally from what has been an extremely challenging & exhausting year.”
‘Southern Charm’ Fans Reacted to JT Thomas’ Return
The “Southern Charm” seating chart was posted on the same day that Bravo host Andy Cohen met with the cast to tape the reunion. In the photo posted by the network, seated to Cohen’s right were Craig Conover, Madison LeCroy, Venita Aspen, Rodrigo Reyes, and Taylor Ann Green. To his left sat Shep Rose, Molly O’Connell, Austen Kroll, Salley Carson, Thomas, and Leva Bonaparte.
Two things stood out to fans: Thomas’ presence and newcomer O’Connell’s second-seat placement.
“JT in attendance… I just fell to my knees in a CVS,” came a comment from @bravobybetches.
“JT is at the reunion?” another fan asked.
“Oh so JT showed up! OK!” another wrote.
“Brave of them to put JT next to me,” chimed in cast member Salley Carson.
Others weighed in on O’Connell sitting so close to Cohen in her first season.
“Molly in the 2nd chair I love that for her!” one fan wrote.
“Molly above Austen is something I’m living for tbh HAHAHAHHA,” another commenter cracked.
‘Southern Charm’ Cast Members Previously Speculated on JT Thomas’ Possible Return for the Reunion
Bravo“Southern Charm” season 10 cast.
Fans will have to wait until the reunion airs to get the full story on Thomas’ exit. But some of his co-stars dropped hints after he was involved in several arguments during season 10.
In November, LeCroy told Us Weekly that Thomas was “no longer wanted in the group” after his season 10 antics. “I think he quit about five times during our season, so I was not surprised,” she added of his exit. “We’ll see if he actually means it, I have no desire to get him back. … I think he definitely [angered] the wrong people and he couldn’t take the heat.”
LeCroy also told Decider she believed Thomas would have to show up for the reunion taping due to his contract with the show. “He signed a contract. He’s not going anywhere,” she predicted in November.
In addition, Thomas’ one-time close friend Aspen said she hoped he would return for the reunion so he could get some answers about why he left.
“I really hope that he makes a decision to show up to the reunion to kind of clear the air because right now it’s everyone against JT due to the decisions that he chose to make on his own,” she told Decider in a January 2025 video interview.
Thomas was a main cast member on the 9th and 10th seasons of “Southern Charm.”
