Ally Shapiro, the daughter of Real Housewives of New York City's Jill Zarin spoke out in disgust after Real Housewives of Salt Lake City used Mary Crosby's son's Robert's drug addiction as a storyline.
'Maybe because I'm a former "housewife kid" I had a completely different take on this scene. I don't think it's ok that this was filmed like this,' Ally, 32, wrote on her Instagram Story Thursday.
'I think that it should have been once he was in or out of rehab, with a therapist etc. He doesn't seem like a public person and this will follow him the rest of his life.'
'While it was a powerful moment between a mom and her son – it's a moment I think should have been shared off camera, or after he was healthy,' she stated.
She concluded, 'These are real people, and a 21 year old kid who needs help. I was you to think – a storyline, and what cost?'
DailyMail.com has reached out to Bravo's reps for a statement but none has been received at this time.

Her post comes after RHOSLC took an incredibly raw turn on Wednesday's new episode after Mary Crosby and her son Robert Jr., 21, had a heartbreaking conversation about his drug addiction and suicidal ideations.
Mary, 52, has been worried about her son throughout the season, who is still living in her home with his wife, Alexiana, but on Wednesday she learned that he'd been doing drugs since he was 16.
He opened up about the litany of drugs he's been doing throughout the years before making a stunning admission – his mother was the only reason he hasn't killed himself.
Fans flocked to social media to praise Mary and Robert Jr. for opening up in such a raw way, some claiming it was one of the most 'real' moments in Real Housewives history.
The episode featured a Girl Scout camp intended to lighten the mood among the women after the disastrous Breakfast at Tiffany's outing, which ended with Mary breaking up a screaming match with Meredith Marks and her abruptly leaving.
The camp outing didn't help much either, with Mary getting into it with several housewives, so much that she didn't attend an event at Meredith Marks' house.
The talk at the event ultimately turned to Mary, with Meredith admitting, 'her behavior is very unusual' and 'not in character.'
'It makes me wonder if there is like some bigger problem going on here?' Meredith wondered, as Britani Bateman agreed.

Mary admitted in confession that Robert Jr. was a 'perfect child' and 'very smart' but along the way something had changed.
Robert Jr. admitted to taking a Xanax and then an 'Adderall to balance out the Xanax,' as she asked if he was unhappy.
'Sometimes I feel like, life is like chicken unseasoned, but when I get high it's like adding seasoning to it,' Robert Jr. said, before admitting he started taking drugs when he turned 16.
He then admitted to taking acid and molly and cocaine, adding a 'turning point' for him was taking 10 Oxy pills at once and he couldn't even feel it.
A tearful Mary admitted, 'I won't judge you,' though she insisted that she would not support it and she wants to help him if he wants help.
He wouldn't even admit that he was having a problem with drugs, as Mary said in confession that she was disappointed in herself.
She said he will die if he keeps on this path and he admitted, 'I wanted to die at the time,' and that he felt like 'a stain,' and that, 'this world wasn't for me,' before making a heartbreaking admission.
